Dallas church helps Arlington couple rebuild after racist attacks

Well, good grief, how much mileage do these people want to get from one story that may or may not have be laid at their own doorstep? Let's move on, folks, to real news and real issues, not some whiny cry-babies hurling the race card!

The race card was played by the p/o/s who VANDALIZED his property. If you don't want Black people to itch and moan about color then stop reminding them. Don't vandalize the property with slurs and don't attack people who look different from you.

On a positive note. Great work and blessings to the West Baptist Church. Thanks for standing up and being the true definition of Christian values.

I'm with all of the people out there who are tired of this story and the racial antics that follow along with it.

Like those people need help! If their skin was white, I would call them "poor white trash," but that won't work for them, would it? They are what I call "grafters" or "glommers." They are trying to glom onto something they did not earn and have no right to own. Let us put them them behind us.

Once again, cursing whites w/ one shaking fist & looking for charity w/ the other open hand. However, I don't subscribe to "Hunting For Trash"'s use of the "N", or the obvious threats. It makes him no better than Gamble. There's no room for either of you in our community. For those that are unfamiliar w/ the history behind this story, do a search for "Broderick Gamble" & read the topix postings from the past. I don't want to have to retype the hundreds of words that I & others in my mindset have said about this. But if you want the truth, it's not hard to get to, if you do just a little research. I just hope Gamble gets the hint, sells his tower of "babble" & gets out of here. And to make myself clear, I could care less of the color of who might move in next, just as long as they're not advantage-taking, race card-waving, system-abusing professional victim con-artists like Broderick Gamble & Silk Littlejohn.

Would you feel differently, if the p/o/s who vandalized the property was a Black person? Just curious.

Unfortunately, some of you guys don't know the entire history behind this story. Yes, their neighbors were VERY frustrated that the home remained in a shambles following the fire even though they received their insurance reimbursement.

No one has been charged with the vandalization. The only charge was the assault by the little old white lady who got into the argument with the couple and apparently struck one of the couple. Can you picture a little old lady stricking out at a much larger person?

There is some evidence that someone in the Gamble-Littlejohn family spray painted their own garage to milk the issue of having the angry neighbor altercation - whether they did or not I do not know for a fact. No charges have been filed on the grafitti. I DO LKNOW that Gamble-Littlejohn have milked the issue shamelessly. A local radio station took in donations and bought them a new upgraded garage door and they refused it because they wanted the grafitti to stay up ... why? So good folks like this church from Dallas would CONTINUE to give to them? Just like the "outside source" in the article gave to them to keep them out of forclosure? I know it looks really ugly from "New York" and elsewhere ... but if you live here, you might see this story in a different light - As usual, the media doesn't give the whole story.

I DO KNOW THAT GAMBLE - LITTLEJOHN have a history of this sort of scam. Google it.

You have no idea what happened here, because you do not live here. These people cried, "Race," from the very first. They were offered assistance, but they refused it, because they did not want to let go of their anger. Furthermore, what happened to them was that one mentally ill woman acted out. It was not a neighborhood thing at all! Get your facts straight! And are you going to jail an elderly, mentally ill woman? Please -- show some mercy.

Update: a few volunteers used heavy equipment to help dig up the grass that previous volunteers planted for Gamble & Littlejohn. In the process, they messed up a corner of the house amd probably damaged the roots of the large post oak in the front yard. It looks like they plan on putting in a circular drive. I don't see any additional progress on the house exterior though. Jeez people, finish one project before you put other people's money & effort into something new. Now, there's big piles of dirt at the curb. I wonder how long they'll be there. There are still the pallets of dead grass that have been on the lawn since March. When will Friendship West Baptist Church cut it's losses? When will they realize that Gamble & Littlejohn are an anchor of shame? The debacle continues.
