Ya know. If they could just tell you how she injured her foot maybe, just maybe people could be poeple would know what dangers to look for when riding that particular ride and not get hurt like this poor lady. Talk about news you can't use.

doesnt she realize that anytime you go to a theme park you face those dangers? Especially in a water park with slippery surfaces and water slides in which you have no control of your body.

If the ride was faulty, ok. But otherwise, there is no need to sue. Have the park address her med bills. Refund the tickets. But a lawsuit is a bit much.

if everybody knew the facts, that three people were injured on this slide in a one week peroid the same way, matter of fact another person was injured just 10 minutes after on this same slide, then maybe they would not talk so much crap about things they don't know about

my thoughts are you should know all of the facts. I do not think she is after money, I think she wants her medical bills paid, which was refused at the time of the injury. Regardless of the situation, how would you feel if you could not use your ankle and walk properly without pain for the rest of your life........

I am sure she did sue, why wouldn't she, it is a sue happy world. "Oh i stubbed my toe on your step - I am suing you" Its all about money. And as someone already stated on the back of ticket (the park is not responsible for injuries...) Why won't people read their tickets?

The park is not responsible for injuries but that only applies to standard type injuries if all equipment is set up correctly. This injury was caused by the equipment not being properly setup and maintained which is implied as what a reasonable person would expect when buying a ticket. This overwrites the clause on the ticket. The woman has every right to try to get the park to pay her medical bills.

You can do a million things right everyday, nobody notices and nobody cares. An accident happens (which is bound to happen eventually, its just statistics), and everyone gets lawsuit happy. If an investigation proves that something was not maintained properly or there was a safety hazard that was not addressed correctly or was addressed apathetically, then I can understand. But accidents happen, sucks, but they happen.

Hurricane Harbor does state that we are not responsible for injuries. People need to start listening to their employees and maybe people would not get injured. Hurricane Harbor is an older water park but they do keep their rides up to date and safe. They get checked every year before we open the park. Okay thanks guys.

I also look at it as, say you were walking past a fence and there was a nail sticking about an inch out of it, you somehow get so close to the nail that is scratches you and gets infected. Well who's fault is it? maybe it it the person that owns the fence, but how many check there fences for nails sticking out every day? Was it yours? you got so close that you were able to get scratched in the first place. My point is accidents happen, people these days go and sue everyone for as much as they can, not because of the accident, it is because of they are wanting to et rich quick. I doubt very much that this lady is worried about her medical bills, I think she is thinking, shopping, house, vacations, etc. I have had worse injuries than this. medical bills are nothing to watch she is planing on.
