All is forgiven, I just thought that was a personal attack against me. I appreciate you clarifying that. I attacked you for the sole reason that you came at me with what you did! That was only my third post in the forum, and was just trying to understand what the topic was all about!

Yeah they even work at night to maintain job security. Somebody has to stay up and remove those pesky new AC compressors and copper wiring and fresh plumbing.

I understand that people like RALPH like to see police officer's on the city streets and also on the streets throughout the county. Truth is RALPH, we only have 6 units that work the interstate, that is all they do. The vehicle's they drive are parid for by drug funds. The salaries are paid for by drug funds, so it doues not look like they are costing the City or County anything. The drugs and drug profits they take off the streets is tremendous. RONNIE, i know that you don't like L.E. because you have more than likely recieved multiple tickets for speeding or driving drunk. I really don't think you should jump to comclusions about L.E. on the interstate. The mayor has stated that no City L.E. will be on the interstate with the exception of Motor's and the FIND Unit. YOu won't see any other white cars unless an accident has occurred. RONNIE you should really worry more about driving your 18 wheeler and talking on your C.B. than what the FIND Unit and other L.E. are doing on the interstate.

I love it. It never fails. Anyone who is critical of LE must have been arrested, gotten a ticket, or gone to jail for something. Maybe they are tired of their taxmoney going up in smoke. 6 units could cover a lot a d-ville. Instead of just I-20

This gets abused all kinds of ways. People get pulled over for foolish crap, "your tail light was flashing, it's not doing it now, but it was, so I'm gonna search your car ok?"

Also, if you are paying law enforcement personnel with money taken from drug dealers, then your department has become dependent on the drug trade. Consider the clear implication here, you guys have a LOT of incentive to bring in the money don't you? This is a misuse of authority and windfall resources. Every dime of that money should go to victims or similar community service functions. Giving it to the police is wrong, it turns them into highwaymen!

The FIND unit is NOT federally funded; they are paid by the county. The FIND Unit is nationally recognized and has received numerous awards for their efforts in combating the war on drugs. Go back and research how much dope (thousands of pounds of marijuana and cocaine) and millions of dollars has been taken off the road by the FIND Unit. If you think the drugs are not coming to Douglas County look at the shooting and murders involving the hundreds of pounds of marijuana at Thornton Rd and Bankhead Hwy. Also look and she how many child molesters, child kidnapping suspects with the abducted child STILL in the car, murder suspects, and rapist have been arrested by them not to mention all the other fugitives from justice.
One reason Anneewakee Trails as well as other neighborhoods are so bad is all the Government assisted housing (section 8 housing). Thanks to the BOC for allowing all the thugs, crime, and criminal element to come to Douglas County with the government paying for them to live here! When all the criminals are payed to live here look how we suffer. Look at how much over the past 2 years armed robberies, car jackings, burglaries, and violent crimes have gone through the roof. Hell there are websites recruiting people to move to Douglas County stating "come to Douglas County where the government will pay your rent" Read the paper or go to the court house for the next public auction and see all the property from these neighborhoods are foreclosed on because the section 8 residents CANNOT pay the property taxes. Why not go live in Fulton, Clayton, or Dekalb Counties, all the criminals are in Douglas County.
