My name is Terry Mooney. I am not and will not ever hide behind a keyboard like some of the keyboard cowboys that has been posting here. I have been involved with Rockmart athletics for almost 6 years. I have two boys that have played football, baseball, and wrestled in Rockmart. The one thing that I see holding the communitity back from becoming the powerhouse that they were in the past, is parents whining and complaining like I've seen here.

The work ethic of some of the kids in question here would make most grown men cry. Yet when they excel in something you have keyboard cowboys out there that won't to blame it on something else. "Daddy ball" is rampant in EVERY sport out there. There is no denying it and zero chance of changing it. If you want your child to succeed as these young men have, distill that same work ethic these kids have and watch your own child excel.

You all sound like a bunch of government welfare recipients wanting to know where your next hand out is. Pick yourself up, put on your big girl panties, and start being the leader your child needs. In order to lead, you have to learn to follow. I clearly see to many people that do not know how to lead.

Quit making excuses for yourself and your child when things don't go the way YOU want. I'm so sick and tired of hearing the things posted here and quite frankly, all of you should be ashamed of yourselves. I've read multiple comments from several people here attacking the credibility, integrity, and character of some great people.

Jerome Bowman has personally inspired more kids to succeed in multiple sports than most of you ever will in a life time. He is without a doubt a man of great leadership and integrity that I would NEVER question. Jerome, along with Dusty Waddell are without a doubt the reason my kids succeed in wrestling. If not for these two great men, I would have never had the leadership and courage it takes to run my own wrestling program at North Paulding.

I have also witnessed the Culvers doing more for the youth athletics in Rockmart than most would ever volunteer to do. I can't believe some of the stuff I'm reading on here.

I'll end with this. If you are not happy with the outcome of any single event, or situation that occurs in youth sports, look no further than the mirror. If you ever have an ought against another person, leave it off of the forums, and take it directly to that person. I have no reason to believe that any decicions made by these individuals called out in this thread were anything other than decisions made to benefit what's best of the program.

For all of you that are complaining because little Johnny didn't make it, grow a pair, step up, and become a person that distills responsibility into your child first. Work on the reasons they fell short, and try again. I am utterly disgusted by what I have read here and quite frankly everyone of you bad mouthing people you know nothing about should be ashamed of yourselves.

I'm not hard to find should anyone care to discuss specifics further. I won't reply anymore to this nonsense. If you wish to contact me, please let me know. I will stand behind both of these individuals as a character witness and support everything they do.

Thank you,
Terry Mooney

Leo

Be careful today Leo, because you'll have to cope with crossed wires and mixed messages today. Someone may not mean to confuse you but they'll still manage to get their wires crossed or give you completely the wrong information. You should try to avoid signing on any dotted lines or reaching verbal agreements today in case you've overlooked an important fact or it's been withheld from you.
