Curly Bear Wagner died of cancer last week in Browning, and his death at age 64 is a big loss for the Blackfeet Tribe - and for me, personally.

I knew Curly Bear back in the 70's when he was living in Los Angles Ca. Even though those were partying days for us, we had a lot of good times and I will always carry those good memories in my heart for Curl Bear. I often thought of him and knew he was doing good for himself in Browning. My sympthy and respect to the family of Curly Bear.

Curly Bear was one of the most interesting people I have ever met. He was funny, caring, and had a mission in life to teach people about his heritage. He accepted and respected everyone he met. I am a teacher from Illinois, and Curly Bear came and spoke to my classes and also gave a whole school assembly program. That was over 10 years ago, and the students who heard him speak, still talk about the influence he had on their lives. His respect for life and nature was evident, giving everyone he encountered a new perspective on what most people took for granted. I will never forget this man and the impact he has had on my life and the lives of my students as I spread his words every year in my classes. I am feeling his loss, and I'm sure anyone who knew him also feels the loss. I know his spirit will live through me in my teaching and everyday living.

Daily Horoscope for December 9

Capricorn

You're in an industrious mood but you'll be happiest if you can be left to your own devices as much as possible. It's not that you're feeling unfriendly, simply that you won't be able to concentrate very well if you're surrounded by lots of people. If you haven't even started writing your Christmas cards yet, try to remedy that at some point today.
