Bring a trash bag and help clean it up...I was there Saturday and Sunday--some of it is old trash from 30 years ago---pull tab beer cans, etc. Lake Michigan is throwing back all the junk we've tossed into it. We picked up a trash bag full and then some...do your part to help out...quit complaining.

I don't know where you were on Saturday and Sunday but I doubt if you saw trash from 30 years ago, unless it was trash that you yourself left behind. If you are not aware, the beach comber regularly cleans the public area of each beach.

The U.S. Coast Guard is investigating the source of the garbage, which includes medical waste such as prescription drug bottles and even needles. Petty Officer Ryan Bedes of the Coast Guard station in Manistee says some of the items carry Wisconsin names and addresses. Officials closed a Manistee beach where some junk piles were up to eight inches high before crews began hauling it away by the truckload. Authorities warned people to stay away from the trash. So it has come from wisconsin hmmmm

If you leave your sanitary napkin insertion tools on the beach that is your problem and no one else's. What kind of people are we? Not the kind that caused a thousand pounds of trash that washed up on the shore. It had nothing to do with Ludington or Manistee or Michigan for that matter. Better do some reading before you post.

I can see why somebody would dump garbage in Manistee. But why Ludington? Ludington is so much nicer. There should be a sky way over Manistee so people aren't forced to go near it.

What a fool you are, the source of the debris has nothing to do with Manistee or Mason County, I invite you to prove me wrong. I'll be waiting for your reply as I'm sure you will want to redeem your manhood.
