Hey, I have an idea, all of you uneducated, grammar challenged, cop hating DIPSHITS! The next time that you see a Law Enforcement Officer speeding, why don't you check him on your radar, see what his actual speed is. Oh, wait, I forgot, you don't have a radar, so your opinion is based largely in part upon speculation, which is as I pointed out, is the speculation of a DIPSHIT. Based upon that theory, I won't tell you how to cook the burgers at Mickey Dee's, I might tell you what I want on my sub (it is a requirement of your duties as a "sandwich artist", correct?) and we can all move on, life isn't fair, get over it. GOD BLESS ALL OF THE BRAVE MEN AND WOMEN PROTECTING OUR COMMUNITIES WHILE WE SLEEP, TO INCLUDE THE HIGHWAYS AND BI-WAYS OF THE GREAT STATE OF GEORGIA !
And for the DIPSHITS I made reference to, you'uns cun kisseded mah asseses........aba-di,aba-di, that's all folks !
Don't tell me somebody really gave you a gun, handcuffs, badge and car. You don't consider yourself one of those brave officers protecting our homes do you? How did you ever find your way to Forsyth? You should hope no one from McDonalds or Subway reads your comments or they may spit in your food while you're picking your nose in the drive-thru. And isn't it a requirement of your job to obey the laws too? I wish the fine citizens of your community and your chief, sheriff or whatever could read your comments.

Well "Lawman" from Valdosta, are you in fact an officer of the law? While Truth expressed his sentiments in a manner I perceive to be out of resentment for comments made on this blog, he, as an officer, has the right to express the pro law enforcement view point that he did. What makes you better than him? What makes you so self righteous? I have a gun, handcuffs, badge and a car. Is that what you think a cop is? If so, your view is sadly incorrect. I have been an officer for nearly 2 decades, and on some level, I agree with Truth. Too many whiners, cry babies and like you, sympathizers. Life is in fact, in no way fair, so cops speed, more often than not in the carrying out of their duties. It is akin to someone complaining about a farmer getting free milk. Get over it, move on. Older officers like myself call real, dedicated, and good cops "flat footed", referring to officers of times past who walked a beat, a cops cop, members of the brotherhood, not unethical, not crooked, just cops who believe in what they do and in their fellow officers. Based upon your statement, you make it exceedingly obvious that you are either not a cop, or at the very least, not "flat footed. Makes me ashamed that your kind might even be remotely related to or affiliated with my chosen profession. If you are a cop, I suspect you are a tremendously dedicated brown noser and testicle warmer for the leaders of your organization. I have seen your kind many times during my career. My dedication to duty, pride in my profession, support of my brothers, and the fact that I don't just whine and cry, I live it, that is what makes me a cop. I have heard input from numerous citizens of my community as well as the leader of my agency, all laughed and said that Truth made a good, clear, and straight to the point statement. Good luck to you in your endeavors and career, with your outlook, you'll likely need to watch your back from your own brother officers.

I believe you've got that backwards partner. Seems like you and your friend are the self-righteous ones. You can break the law without fear of punishment and you somehow think that's a job benefit. Sounds like you think you're better than me. What's the whining and crying talk? The simple concept of these comments is that officers speed when they aren't suppossed to. You refuse to admit that's illegal. Instead you insult me because you can't justify your action and you don't like it being discussed. The people you arrest use similar tactics. Speeding in carrying out your duties is sometimes necessary. It's the time you aren't on a call, just playing around, or running late for whatever, that's the problem. A farmer getting free milk, huh? He owns the cow and buys the feed. When you buy the car and gas you can run it until the wheels fall off. You been an officer 2o years, huh? With all your in-service training, consider this. If you stop me for speeding every day for 3 weeks running 80/55 mph, how long before I become an habitual violator? Now, if you are patrolling and you run 80/55 mph every day when not on a call, are you an habitual violator? Doesn't that make you an unconvicted felon? And you want to talk about pride? How can you justify that? I know it's been an unwritten policy for years, but is it right? Don't say it's life. You are an officer of the law. You've been given a place of trust. Have you violated that trust when you speed illegally? You call yourself an older officer. Quit fostering this kind of attitude with the younger officers. I know a young officer who started doing this, hossing around in the car on third shift. Tore up a transmission too. That's immature, childish behavior. It's criminal too. Besides speeding, what other laws is it okay for an officer to break? Had one officer found an insurance agency's door open at 2am so he thought he'd help himself to a free Coke while waiting on the owner to come lock up. Is that okay within your department? It wasn't for me, I made him pay for it and wrote him up. I don't want an officer breaking ANY laws. How would you have treated that situation? Would you have "watched the back of your brother officer"? Having an officer like that is like having a preacher tell you a dirty joke after the morning service. Course from your comments, you might like the joke.

While you express several valid points, and I agree with some, I do not violate the trust I have been privileged with. I do not speed to lunch, have NEVER been late, and only speed when the situation [call] dictates it. You state that these officers speed when they are not supposed to. How do the people on here know what the officers purpose is? How does anyone without a radar know the actual speed? How many speeding citations have you written based upon speculation and been victorious? Speculation won't hold up. At times, I run fast to a call only engaging my lights at intersections, and no siren, as sometimes the circumstances (bank robbery for example) dictate it (don't need the offender to know I'm near and create a worse hostage situation.)The people on here haven't walked a mile in my shoes, the majority seem to be digruntled persons who got a ticket that they most likely deserved, so forgive my arrogance, but they are reading personal opinion into it, whining, and to me, that makes their opinion less than valid. I in NO WAY condone anyone, officers or otherwise, breaking any law. Under the circumstances you presented, I would have suspended the officer/thief if not recommeded him for termination. I am simply saying do as the law says, not as the officers do, life is NOT fair. So many injustices in this world, prejudice, abuse of the helpless, it runs the gamut, and there is no solution for those at this time either. Life is what it is, and everyone will eventually be held accountable, thieves, murderers, and even those vicious, malicious, speeding, dirty, crooked officers (the overzealous sentiments of many on this blog). I manintain my stance, get over it. Stop scrutinizing every little action. And as for the farmer analogy you provided, I HAVE paid for my "cow" and fed it in blood, sweat, tears, divorces, missed holidays and special occasions, bruises, cuts, nightmares and numerous other occurrences, all in the line of duty, without complaint, for the profession that I live and love. I have seen numerous macro-managing, pencil pushing, crusader types like you "lawman". I in no way mean to insult you, I am simply expressing my feelings on this topic, and your responses. While I have no respect and admiration for you or your views, I do respect your right to have and express them. You still make me ashamed to think you wear a badge and a gun. Things will work themselves out, always do, and I believe that the first time you scream "10-78, 10-18" into a radio (if you ever leave the safety and comfort of the office, things will become more apparent to you.)Support your brother officers, not a lot of speculation from disgruntled people with an ax to grind. I mean really, how many officers do you know of that actually speed to work, meetings or lunch? While I imagine they are small percentage, these are the exception, not the rule.

Oh and I would like the dirty joke, big fan of 'em, man enough to admit it, even and the risk of being removed from my (your) lofty, saint like status.

LAWMAN HUH Your response started out reasonable but then resentment seemed to kick in. You agree with several valid points but then say you have no respect for me or my views. You say you in no way mean to insult me but then say you're ashamed I have a badge, that I'm a pencil pusher and have a saint-like status. I know cops get blamed for lots of stuff, most of it is not true. Back to the farmer analogy. You said "so cops speed" and compare that to a farmer getting free milk as if cops should get the benefit to speed sometimes. That's where we disagree. You haven't bought the "cow/car", you haven't bought anything. I don't deny blood, divorces, etc. occur,(I was shot answering a domestic call, and don't say I've lost my nerve) but none of that entitles us to grant ourselves a "benefit". That sounds like resentment. Sounds like you've given everything to a job but don't feel like you've been given enough back. I know I'll get some flak for this, but this whole forum started about troopers speeding. I think the problem is greater on the state level than city/county but somebody will surely claim I couldn't get hired by GSP or something. Like you, they'll probably resort to verbal attacks. Oh well.

In conclusion, I am PRO law enforcement, not tilted or swayed by a handfull of disgruntled people basing their opinion on personal speculation. There ARE bad cops out there, bad milkmen, bad politicians, bad mothers and fathers and so on, all are usually the exception and not the rule. I will not attack GSP for poor judgements in speed, nor any of the above, cops are not entitled, we just are what we are, all cops. We make mistakes, to err is human, we bang other peoples wives, we get pissed off, we on occassion make poor decisions,it happens, we are human, just like the persons who are crying about GSP speeding, they were human, made a mistake, payed for it with a citation, and now they will feel better for crucifying a cop, it's all bullshit, GET OVER IT,LIFE ISN'T FAIR ! Doesn't make it right, but it just is what it is. Christ man, this is what is wrong with the world, WAAAAAAAHHHHHHH !

Just finished reviewing some performance appraisals. Those are...never mind, you wouldn't understand. Anyway I'm about to fire two officers and wondered where you work. Thought you could use a couple of lazy, smart-mouth bas^&@ds. They'd fit in a department where negative attitude officers break the law, bang other people's wives, have nightmares and suffer divorce. Now that's dedication to duty and pride in the profession, huh? You know, your attitude sounds like those stories we hear when an officer eats a bullet shortly after retirement.

i think that when you drive at a high rate of speed and you are the law you need to run your lights and siren to give some notice that you are comming at a high speed, one shierff officer driving at a high rate of speed in the down town area ran over a old man that was crossing the street and killed the officer was not running lights or siern ,he was tranfered to cordel S.O. listen im not knocking the officer for getting there fast as possible but let the risk be worth the danger. also did you not just bury an officer for driving to fast and loss of controll of his car thank GOD it was trees there not somebody or a house. if you have to drive at 90mph please let somebody know! thanks very understanding and conserened. P.S. i have never had a speeding ticket and im over fifty.

Lawman from Dawsonville, you seemingly fail to realize what an arrogant, worthless turd you are, but then most like you do.Thanks for writing up and firing those officers, you're the man, really, I mean it. You're quite the big man, bragging about it makes you feel even more important huh? Must make that tiny wee-wee of yours seem like a baseball bat (to you).(I would have used penis, but that is disrespectful to people who actually have one. A shame that the time that you got shot wasn't the end for you, waste of a bullet under the circumstances. The mere fact that you breathe (and waste) perfectly good air is an outrage. You call yourself a cop. The fact that you got yourself a badge (likely because you got your ass kicked too much in Junior High) doesn't make you a cop. Based upon your attitude and comments here, NOTHING will ever make you a REAL cop. You disgust me and bring shame upon your kind everywhere. You know, your attitude sounds like those stories we hear when an officer eats a bullet or takes a serious ass whipping, because his brother officers drag their feet, due to their lack of respect for you, while you scream like the bitch that you are, begging for help over the radio. Fucking loser.

Wow, guess you didn't do too well on the high school debate team, huh? Can you actually complete one sentence without using a curse word? Who helps you fill out incident reports or does your supervisor mark out the simple-minded words you use? I've heard that a trash mouth like yours is a sign of low intellect. Of course, that's apparent since you can't focus on the topic of this blog and instead you resort to expressing yourself in the poor way you do. Keep the resume in the desk, you won't be the department spokesman if CNN shows up. And people wonder why they call us pigs!

Man, potty mouth is no sign of low intellect, it's simply the way some people choose to express themselves. The excuse you provided in reference to it being so is antiquated, and generally used by persons who are unable to be clever, are sanctimonious, tight asses that have nothing better to do than cry and whine about reality, or spend their time, writing up and firing people. I concur with TRUTH, you appear, by your own words to be a very small person, shallow, as if you are attempting to make amends for some shortcoming that you possess. Sad really, a man could have gotten your badge and done some good with it. I'm done with it, you have done my job for me. Enough said, enjoyed it though. Keep us posted on your trials and tribulations of writing up and firing. Maybe you could branch out to working the entire state, running radar and writing officers citations, telling on them, calling their leaders and such. Maybe you could call their mommies when they don't wash behind their ears. It'll be just like when you were a hall monitor all over again. Won't your self esteem be great then. LOL, what a joke man, I feel sorry for you, in time, all things will reveal themselves, they always do..... I'm with TRUTH, what a loser.

Aw, save your breath, you'll need it later to blow up your date. Is that what the KY means? Sounds like you and TRUTH are pard'ners as you both overlook the topic and go for the kill. Seems like the only ones whining and crying are you guys. I can hear you now, "Mommy, those people are saying I'm a bad cop, make them quit. They are always picking on us, accusing us of things. Mommy I can't debate with them, I'd rather cuss them and put them in their place. I'm gonna tell'em off like you showed me. That will let'em know that I'm a professional and I'm here to serve and protect. And if they don't believe me, then I'll be CLEVER and cuss them again to express myself." Oh Mom, did I get that spot behind my ear?
