You're so stuck on CAMP. You know this was a CAMP initiated operation? Santa Clara County's MET unit wasn't leading it? It was a multi-jurisdictional investigation. You keep whining about lack of accountability. Yet you don't want to do anything about it. Lack of more people whining like you doesn't mean they don't care. Several plausible reasons for your perception of a cover-up have been given. It is your choice not to accept any of them...but if the conspiracy theory shoe fits right?

You apparently know more about it than I do. Maybe you have more information?

Read the articles. There have been more than one that have clearly stated what agencies participated in the raid and I have not read anywhere where this was strictly a CAMP operation with undertones of a cover up like you're attempting to portray. Man, not only do you just want to whine about needing to know information and not do anything to get it, but you haven't even read the news reports....

Straw man argument. I don't think I said it was strictly a CAMP operation. I've read what's available on the internet. From what I can gather, it was headed by the Santa Clara SO with CAMP participating. So the shooters were sheriff deputies -- does that mean they're not members of CAMP? I thought CAMP was comprised of officers from various orgs, so that's why I thought the shooters were from CAMP. Does this change anything? Do they have different rules for popping off rounds when they storm a garden? Are investigations of deputies involved in shootings not made public? Please enlighten me. Where do you get your information? Obviously you're reading from a different source than I am. I can't even find anything written after July 16.
Thanks in advance for your help. |

It all begins with understanding the need to know vs. the right to know and apparently you still don't understand since you keep whining about being owed these explanations. Enlighten you? It's pretty hard to explain law enforcement tactics over a message board. Perhaps while your researching the privacy laws, you could do a ride-along with your local police department to gain a better understanding of their tactics and procedures. Buy a $20 scanner at Radio Shack. The information is out there man, you just need to actually do the research to get it.

|
Are you suggesting I ride along with CAMP or MET? No thanks. Hey man, all I wanted was a little information. Do you think that would compromise the operation? Like I said before, it smells fishy.
BTW, I've had a scanner since '84. Most things they don't want you to hear are done on the land line -- you know that. |

Hey Kawi (short for Kawasaki?), can you tell me what freqs CAMP and CNET use? I don't think I have them programmed on my scanner. I know the control and tac numbers, and Clemars of course.

Ride along with CAMP? No. Ride along with your local police department, which is what I thought I said.
No Kawi is not short for Kawasaki and I couldn't care for their products. No I don't know the frequencies. Everything I heard was broadcast over S/O Control-2, Control-3 and SJPD-17. Control-4, Calcord, AANET, BAYMACS & CLEMARS were also used and most of it wasn't over land lines since no one could get cell reception unless they had a satellite phone. Sounds like you need to break that thing out a little more often... |

I don't listen to San Jose traffic, but I do listen to local stuff. I'm in the south SC Co.

So the problem again is? You have the resources and the means... I guess just not the will to get the information.

I'm sure they'll be talking about the Saratoga investigation on the scanner. You've not been helpful, only deflective.

Why should I help someone who wants everyone else to do the work for them. Just because I listened to the radio traffic associated with the event, I should be passing it on to you? I could care less if they release any further information. I'm not the one repeatedly whining about being owed an explanation. I've explained to you why sometimes full disclosure is not possible. I've also given you the suggestion to better understand what can and cannot be released so you might have a little more understanding why information isn't always so forthcoming. You're the one who doesn't want to see if there's a way to make them release the information. I would, if I cared enough. Call it deflective if it makes you feel better or if you need to lash out because I don't see where it's my job to provide you with information I gained by ways you very well could have too. Sorry, but you're right. I can't help you...I can't fix stupid....

And your ignorant. Only someone who can't take some constructive criticism views it as an insult. You're right though. The last sentence of my previous post was an insult...made only after explaining to you several times how you could get the information yourself without making others doing the work for you. Not only are you ignorant, but you're also lazy. But keep crying for more information and claiming your owed an explanation without really having an understanding of what you're whining about. Keep up the whining while not be willing to actually go out and do something or use the resources already available to you. Yes, you are the role model for society. I'd much rather be labeled a "porker" than be a lazy, ignorant crybaby. So what's the underlying issue? Are you mad that you couldn't just come around, whine about being owed an explanation and throw around baseless allegations and not garner the support you expected? I do apologize if I'm not all over your "I'm owed an explanation" band wagon....are you mad I didn't drink your "kool-aid"....if you were the one that made that sad attempt at a insult in another forum under a non-registered screen name. What's the matter, afraid of losing any form of anonymity if you actually register?

I am registered. And what has registration to do with anonymity? What is your full legal name? You don't get it, do you? I'm going to force the cops to provide me with a report that possible discloses incompetence or unlawful activity on their part? Involving a pot operation? I know about 3x5's, the unofficial cards they keep on people for various reasons.
I would like to see a public disclosure of the results of the investigation, for all to see, not just me. This smells like a coverup. For all I know, you're working for them. |

Only someone who has something to hide cares about "3x5 cards". I could be working for "them", but then again, so could you. If the conspiracy theory shoe fits...I guess you'll wear it. And again, you want full disclosure... you've been given clues how to get it. Boo hoo. Get over it or do something about it.
