New Apple store opening at Royal Hawaiian Center - Business

This is really the wrong place for Apple to be. Why haven't they expanded West to Pearlridge? All the stores are in rich, haole places and now Waikiki??

Have you seen the prices on those damn things? If you did, you'll know why the stores are only in "rich, haole places" AND Waikiki.

would locals drive and park in waikiki to buy an Apple product? would tourists buy an Apple product while vacationing? for the life of me, why would they open a store in waikiki? remember, there are people who use real computers and there are Apple users.

3 Apple Stores for Oahu, none for the Big Island. Steve Jobs stays at the Kona Village Resort when he comes here but still no Apple Store here. It really bites.

oh..btw..Apple Computers are REAL computers...that pc you use is a piece of krap and you use it only cause you are too poor for an Apple.

Maybe they should put an Apple store where International Marketplace is....Why inside the Royal Hawaiian?
Already get Apple Stores inside Ala Moana and Kahala mall....? How figga?
If people can afford Apple products, they can buy online.

have you tried to use any scientific software? they don't even make them for Apple, since the Apple users don't understand anything higher than elementary level math & science. oh, another way to say that pc users are too poor to afford Apple is that Apple users suckers. same thing...

Yea, spend thousands on below-grade hardware (Apple hardware is NOT high quality -- same old made in China cr@p as every other mass produced PC) and then use it for Windows. Smart, real smart. NOT.

it's obvious that you haven't set a foot onto an university. ok, i'll make it easier for you to understand; how about 'hardcore' science. what a typical Apple user...btw, i do know one science dept. at a local university that has an Apple computer; they use it to make their documents pretty and colorful...

I didn't realize that the term "hardcore" was used in scientific circles to describe one's research field. Typical Windoze user..

This is a smart place to have it. The haoles have all the money hon. Why would you put it in a place where people can't afford it.

Why would Jobs make an apple store out there when most big islanders can barely afford rice hon.

Apple is a smart company. Waikiki... tourist from all over the world... Basically, its advertising.
And what is up with the smack talk here? I use both OS's.
In terms of price... when you equip a DELL or HP with the same specs as Apple, there really is no significant difference. The point is if you need to use Windows or not... Virtualization adds to a Macs cost.
I will say this tho... HP & Apple high end stuff are much better than Dell. Dell just plain stinks. Stay away from Dell... The company i work for replaced all the junk that was Dell with some HP. Significant difference in quality.
So, call me a Dell hater... not a MAC vs. PC guy.

btw, just to make sure i get my point across... DELL stinks
