Judge it!
Funny, I get next to no spam at either my Optimum Online e-mail account, or my Gmail account. I do see what Gmail captures, and nearly all of it is so silly that you'd need to be a drooling moron to fall for any of it.
I am increasingly convinced that all this alarmist reporting over the "growing danger" of spam is facilitated by software companies who stand to profit from fear of spam.
Spam Is Growing And Getting More Sophisticated
What will they think of next? We're all familiar with e-mail spam offering prescription drugs, cut-rate software and herbal potions.

Would newspapers have something to gain from an increased fear of spam and other attacks from on-line?
Why don't they use the "spam equivalents" that a newspaper regularly uses to explain the danger of the different types of attacks that there are in cyberspace? |
