A staff member at the pre-school across from Pinto Lake that my daughter attended briefly at age 2, actually put a live lizard in her lunchbox in order to give her the message that the children were not allowed to bring lunch from home. This on her fist day of pre-school. Imagine how my child felt when she went to open the lunchbox to have her lunch? Now that is cruel. I pulled her from there even though I was told it was one of the best pre-schools in town. My daughter is 27 now. Thank god she overcame this nightmare.
"Nightmare" Hardly. Cruel to the lizard? Yes. Cruel to the child -- not really. Childish? Yes. Stupid? You betcha.

I take it your daughter is a nervous young woman, having been raised by you.

No one's trying to over inflate, and you should not be so judgemental considering your own circumstances. Yes, parental overlooks made, due to trust issues perhaps? Likely.

For someone claiming to come from the "Holy City" you seem qwite full of the hyperbole!!! Attempted murder, maybe an overstatement, attempted coverup? Not so much, question is, exactly what were they trying to cover up, cover up could lead to anything alot of things.
Sounds like you dislike children yourself, abused as a child? Maybe you yourself like to abuse....? You seem to defend the abuser and not the abused...mental issues I belive YOU HAVE!!! And as far as my argument, what do you actually belive I have TOLD all of YOU everything that I have witnessed? Compiled together it makes for a very strong argument.

Yes, I do know how to spell, but dont always take the time to run spell check when I am writing about something so stressful. Is this all you do all day?

Simply your seem to only be attempting to create anger and arguments with insults regarding something you know nothing about.

Which makes your argument only fuled by your own personal anger and inablilty to feel secure with your own self or emotions....implying I am a cult leader? Simply argumentative and has ruined your credibility as someone of any real thought to a subject, just simply disagreeable and argumentative.

You've dug your own hole (appropriately) with your response above -- readily providing proof of your lack of intellect and your questionable mental state. I need only point out that those aren't typos, my dear. You were using the wrong words. That's called ignorance. A spell check won't correct that, infortunately. Thiis is a typo.

I am so, so sorry that you have children.

I had an abusive kindergarten teacher (locked me in a closet, for instance), and I still remember all she did all these many, many years and decades later. While I think it's unrealistic and unjust to yell at parents (posters Eug and "a stink") for not staying home with their children, I do know people who put less effort into choosing daycare for their kids than they put into buying a new car, refrigerator or choosing a building contractor. It's a matter of priorities. Your kids are worth taking the time to check. Never take it on faith that people will do the right thing with your kids. Show up unannounced at the daycare, get numerous referrals, research whether there have ever been problems at the place, ask loads of questions and watch the reaction of the person you are questioning. Are they annoyed? Are they withholding information? Question your child, gently, about what they see and do at the daycare or school. And if your kid is crying and fussing and doesn't want to go to school in the mornings, for God's sake, don't assume that he or she is just acting up and trying to make your life difficult. Your child could be trying to tell you something.
Agreed, did that, did the research....always regret thinking he just wanted to stay home, they were good liars,

I only need to point out that out of the 80+ comments I am not sure which statement your in reference to regarding the cult statement and inappriopriate useage.

Nonetheless it is not significant anyway, your just trying to be insulting and argumentative as was stated before, and you my friend have demonstrated this in YOUR own response. Sorry you are so easily rattled and easily taken off track, since we are discussing abuse with in the schools and teachers who abuse. You simply have to say hurtful things because you your self ARE so emotional as stated before, this is obviously your pass time which is why you got so offended.

And why did an outside agency have to discover this child abuse ? Where was the owner/manager?
Why was there inadequate supervision of the employees?
This kind of operation should be shut down on the first offense. Children First.
I have noticed that alot of the preschool agencies train their site supervisors and assistances. Many teachers who support their culture which they were raised in will follow it in the classroom. The teachers don't display honest or integrity in Pajaro Valley and cover it up with enrollment.I believe it starts at the top if a director is allowing these teachers to continue and ignore warnings, complaints and don't visit the sites it should be put on them. Many site supervisors believe they know best and verbally may say very inappropriate language to 2-4 year old children. Many are favoritized and the rest are lyed to their parents about behaviors that may be normal through their growing but their being refered to as problems in the class. Be aware parents we are are childrens only advocate.

Daily Horoscope for December 30

Virgo

If the December sales are calling you, you'd better work out a budget before you leave the house. Otherwise, you'll be tempted to use your credit card first and only consider the cost of your purchase later on. Even so, you could track down some great bargains now, provided you don't get carried away and buy items that you don't really want simply because you're astonished by the amount of money you'll save in buying them. But you'll save even more money if you don't buy them!
