benham power board

its about time somebody stood up to little hitler taterhead, i bet he will pay his utility bill from now on ,why does the city get by with not paying can somebody answer that one

why would he pay city hall utility biil.when he dont pay his own.says that is part of being the mayor.

You don't pay a power bill to run the city. Mayor after mayor has not paid city power bills, now the power board is not taking in enough money to pay for all the city power. These mayors drained all the reserve the power had, and they can't stop even after they left it broke and in debt. Quit wasting the money, get the bills right, and collect them in a timely manner, Tater Brain!

I've been hearing all over Benham that ole Dodd was going to get rid of Danny Quillen at this weeks council meeting. I guess everything will go back to the way it was...broke and in debt to KU and hopefully not the wrong bills again.

Yep, Danny is trying to run it the right way and Dodd is on that BS that the Power Board was created to run the city. He will clean it out, and they won't be able to pay the bills just like the city. If you can't run the city, you can't run the power either. Poor old Dodd is dumb as a rock, and God help the idiots that follow him!

The Benham city council is just as dumb as Dodd,they let him do what ever he wants to can't wait to vote these stupid people out speak up people

If memory serves me right (and it might not, as old as I am) when one is appointed to the power board it is for a specific length of time.... five years, and the appointee can not be removed just because the current mayor (in this instance, "Dodd Almighty") is not happy with him or his actions. This is how it was when I was on the power board and I'm not aware it has been changed,though
many, many other rules, regulations and ordinances have gone "by the wayside" over the past five or six years. I say Danny Quillen for mayor.

I believe you are right but since Dodd and mrs Dodd came it is we make the rules as you go

I agree, there won't be anything left in Benham. It is time for change. things are going to get worse.

Is it true that old tater head sold that mowing equipment to his neighbor so he could buy it for the farm? I here he has a knack for winding up with the people of Benham's stuff.

I would venture to say that the citizens of Benham that are happy with "Dodd Almighty" are few and far between, especially the ones that that voted for him (not just once, but twice). It's tempting to say "they're getting what they deserve" but unfortunately the rain falls on the just as well as the unjust and those of us who didn't vote for him...even one time, are forced to suffer along with them.God help Benham.

I would say you are right,even we as citizens are not mistake proff,but when we make mistakes you try to stand and correct them I like you hope god will have mercy on Benham and the handful that will stand up for what is right we as citizen have to take a stand

It is hopeless because Dodd wants control of everything, and he actually thinks he owns Benham. He has a really stupid council that does anything he says. THIS SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN for any mayor. Mayors today think the council is there to yes them. He is a small man with a smaller mind. Politics cannot run a business because they use the monies for everthing but keeping up the utilities. It is just like our social security. Power money should have only been used for power, and water and sewer for just that. Somehow the water system, which should have been paid for, got refinanced more than once. Never vote for who the mayors wants for council. You are crazy if you do.
