Everybody needs to show up at all city council meetings in support of Chief Forbis. Fuller wants Chief Forbis fired. There are several reasons Fuller wants this, none of which are valid.

Fuller cannot control the police department with Chief Forbis. Fuller also wants to put Doug Alexander back in as Chief. We all know what an idiot Alexander is. Fuller knows he can control Alexander, and in turn, the police department.
Happy to be here

I agree that we must support Chief Forbis. He has only improved the police department and the majority of the officers respect him and do not want to see him go. I think we need to get rid of Fuller.
Good Job

The new Police Chief has as it looks improved the Lewisburg Police Department and stopped a bunch of loafing police sitting around in parking lots and standing around at local conveniences stores talking to women, but for sure a City Manager should never have been place over the hiring and firing of police department personal.
The police Chief should be required to answer direct to City Council in public and have as much power over that department as the city manager does over the other departments.
That is one department that should reflect nothing but the law when it comes to operating as law enforcement.
Does the City Manager have a Law Degree, ever been in Law enforcement, ever been a lawyer. Ever been a judge, even been a personal director, other than what he has made himself?
This City manager should never have been placed City Manager in the first placed if for no other reason he seems not educated or qualified his education has come from experience and experience has been a deer teacher to the Cost of the Lewisburg taxpayer.

Sounds like it is time for the residents and tax payers to start writing letters stating facts of why EF needs to go and appearing at ALL Council meetings demanding the dismissal of our "city manager" until they get the hint and get rid of the unqualified, no good SOB's ass. Unless you stand up for yourselves making the communities wants heard and too hard to ignore the only thing you will acomplish is you sitting on here whining and EF sitting on the other side of his computer screen reading all this and laughing at every one of you!

Sad but so true. If EF wants him, he is likely gone!

Why can't we start a petition to get rid of the city manager and get a new one? Is the city manager appointed for life? We need a new one if Lewisburg is going to survive. Why is that fudgepacker still the city manager?

Type up some and leave them at local stores confront people and ask them to sign after a few names my bet lots would sign try ball games and where people gather it would need to be residents of Lewisburg.
Then present them at a council meeting to say the least it would be a shocker. Something like that proably would get the job done.
For something needs to be done.

Not many people have the guts that Mr. Sharp had, years ago when he wore his Jacket to most all council meetings and all around the city, board meetings On the back of that Jacket was written Impeach the Mayor and the City Council or words to that effect.

That Man was a Man with courage!
That was about the time of ED and the dump deal with EF being his Ass is tant.
But Get the petition started surely someone will sign it.

It seems that not a single person likes EF but no one will stand up and do anything? What makes him so powerful. I am not from here so I am just observing for now. This seems quite strange to an outsider. Who supports him?

Do you think it could be, his 3 controlled Council men, the click, 2 past Mayors, several local Lawyers, and the Industrial board, a banker or two, the leaking local dump support, the wheeler dealers, all the ones who use the city, debt and taxpayers money as to increase and supplement their income?
Do you think it might be he is so powerful with the local click behind him and has the past Mayor’s appointed members to loaded boards with click connections and department heads who do nearly as they please and most are willing to do as they are told by the click that no one don’t rock the boat?
Does he carry the City Council agenda to each Council member as to know what to expect before the council even meets and if something not on the agenda they don’t discuss it till they are prepared ahead of time could that have been the very reason that the former Mayor did not want him question during Open Council Meetings even by council members themselves in public?

Do you think it will take a Federal investigation to ever clean and clear Lewisburg up?
Do you think the ones in power will ever change themselves or is it to much money and to much power?
Do you think they even control the voting machines?

All of this might be true but wouldn't you think they could at least find a better patsy than him?

Patsy Patsy they did but he did not run for office again, he could not keep his foot, out of his own mouth in public, they better find someone pretty quick who can tell them how to pay the now and future City departments Debts as well as better run the City and stay out of Police affairs.

I think they are scared to fire the new police chief for he may be what helps turn this town around it will have to be turned out side in and inside out to ever rally change.

IRS or EPA we could use the both I would think now as well as in the future of Lewisburg.

Well we don't need any more dirty work done, we have had to much of that now around here, I don't know let me think may be the new Council Member with some experience in the field of audit and finance dealing with criminals, are some one from out of town with no connection to Lewisburg might work a retired or active IRS agent or auditor with small and large city management experience, or an retired city prosecutor with experience in the field of city management audits would be just some of my first suggestions.

The Lewisburg City Manager just like the new Police Chief should come from out of Town with experience, education and no Lewisburg Connections.
This new police chief has tried it seems to make changes that were needed but should be allowed to run the police department and answer direct to City Council not city manager.
For what education in police work, law degree, does a city manager have?

Lewisburg Needs a Separate Employment Department that does the hiring and firing of all qualified personal with a report an public personal record to explain why.
The city manager should not have the power to hire and fire, only recommend and attend board meetings and help manager the city not be a one man police force he is one man with too much power.

They will look silly trying to do it. I know a whole bunch of folks my family and friends will not be voting for during the upcoming elections. It is great to unit as a whole on the forum on matters that really matter. Now we all just have to do what we say we will do.

They don't care how they look. All they care about is the power that they have over others. Most of the big players aren't even in elected offices

Daily Horoscope for December 30

Virgo

If the December sales are calling you, you'd better work out a budget before you leave the house. Otherwise, you'll be tempted to use your credit card first and only consider the cost of your purchase later on. Even so, you could track down some great bargains now, provided you don't get carried away and buy items that you don't really want simply because you're astonished by the amount of money you'll save in buying them. But you'll save even more money if you don't buy them!
