Whammer Jammer its called sarcasm in response to this blog, what does Gathering of Nation have to do with the opening of the establishments. Maybe it wasn't the nicest way to put it but it was meant for hunter gatherer who seemed to think that it was of some importance. Whoops......

The 'ditch' here was your effort to sidestep the fact that someone has to notify the loved ones...of the untimely death of an intoxicated victim/familial member. Your ignorance is understandable. You obviously have no idea how the two correlate. The waterway in question is a popular spot for 'party' goers. It's usually 'rescue's' from the ditch or the river...the ultimate death trap? The irrigation canal, the river, the highway and the diversion damn.
Usually by the time they get to the diversion damn, they're already beyond 'rescue'. Crossing the highway?? Attempting to travel home....or anywhere...now, that's a new dynamic...DWI Now, that's what puts your family in danger. You are absolutely correct. It's not just Waterflow, it's any liquor establishment on the edge of the reservation. Outside of the 'bootleggers' business, the best bet? Open a bar just outside the confines of the reservation. Guaranteed a booming business. Who suffers? You figure it out. You obviously have all the answers. You volunteer you.

You're absolutely right...dying my 'tights' now. In the 'real' world...how many times have you notified the loved ones of those who've been killed on this notorious stretch of highway because their loved ones frequented this bar or the one across the highway? Now, due to the ultimate results of the purchase of or enjoyment of alcohol readily available at both establishments, they obviously were intoxicated...and as a result of that consumption have expired...in whichever deadly way...now, you must report to their loved one that their father, mother, sister, brother, nephew, niece, grandson, granddaughter, grandmother, grandfather, has either walked out in front of an automobile....drowned in the irrigation canal, died of exposure, fallen in the river and were 'recovered' at the diversion damn...

Nothing...absolutely nothing...the ignorance of the onslaught of protectors of this re-opening of a known death trap is astounding...but those who endorse this endeavor...live with it. This establishment was shut down for a reason. It's time those who 'endorse' the re-opening deal, in reality, with the consequences.....jus sayin

I stopped by the Zia last night. They have the Jim Beam shooters on sale for buck each. I bought 4 for 4 bucks. I saved 2 bucks over buying the half pint bottle. Such a good deal. I don't know how long the sale will be. ON the downside, the whole area smelled of pee.

Drove out past zia today, looked everywhere for a drunk Indian couldn't find one anywhere. I just wanted to give one a hug. What gives I thought they would be everywhere, and tons of them. What gives?

I don't get those Navajos with alcohol, i find it much easier and cheaper to fake a work injury and get on disability, and enjoy the pain meds. Hell that is how us white people do it.

I have to agree with you that they are adults, however, if they want to kill themselves, that's all good. But what if these creeps go head on with your family and kill them? I know I don't want to lose my family because an adult decides to get drunk and drive their car. Why make it easier for that adult to do so. It's a known fact that we have a high rate of dwi's in this area..
