I say a statute of limitation on rape of three years. Thanks Courant for another tear-jerker. obviously you don't know anyone who was ever raped, let alone who lost their virginity is this way. it is traumatizing to an extent which cannot be imagined. few are able to handle reporting it to the police, ever. let alone in the timely fashion of this victim. if she thoght her chance was past and she was hurt again by this person being rude enough to try to use her and her sympathy to feel better about himself, while still avoiding responsibility for his actions, how can we say that she has no right to try to have him prosecuted. she did not contact him. he contacted her. he did not appropriatly consider anyone other than himself, and his own needs. he hurt her again. let her have her day in court. you don't have to read the article, you don't have to support either side. but let's not try to punish the victim of a crime, by applying limitations of time that would cut off most prosecutions of this type before the investigation could come to a useful or reliable conclusion. rape should have the same statute of limitations as murder, most woman who are raped lose a large part of themselves. for several that i know they felt as though their souls or spirits were murdered by the person who raped them. think of these facts when you offer a timeline. be fair to the victim, not just the offender, or the innocent person hearing of such things from the media.

The fact that he knows the error of his ways should have no bearing on the punishment he receives for committing such a crime. The fact that he is coming to terms with the evil inside him and the damage that he has caused does not change what happened. And Crazy Rapist Guy, you are just a true idiot.

This is astounding. A rapist is apologizing? He must have found out he's dying or something. You know, time to make good with God so he can get inside the pearly gates.

While it doesn't undo any damage caused by his crime, it is nice to learn that some people actually feel remorse and try to right their wrongs. In the end he ruined 2 lives, his own and his victims.
