Very nicely said Cindy, I applaud you as well! I agree and some!!!!

I am not one to speak out on others private matters or breaking news in this case, nor do i usually read comments given to the paper but i feel the need to take a stand on this tragic, saddening, undescribable tragady!(To save GRACE) I dont understand why any are angered by the late Brian Eric Wrenn's actions. If you don't like it why even comment? This is what sickens me about People. Worry about your own demons and problems. Im sure everyone of you uncompassionate ones have at least one or two problems tucked away! As said best before, all of you will be in my prayers for your so called opinions, your slander is no different than steeling in Gods eyes. God is our only JUDGE! I didn't have any type of a relationship with this 26 year old (who was taken at such a young age), but I am a friend of a very close friend of him. I got to feel the hert and pain he felt as I was there to hold his hand when he received the painful news! It saddens me how ugly some of you have been through this tragady! As for the Family, Friends,(LOVED ONES) My prayers are with all of you.... I Pray you all can pull together tight and stay strong for one another!!!!!!!
Love Always Grace

So what is the positive we should get out of a story about a convicted felon, who was going to steal a humidifier to pawn(yes we know this is the case, not for a sickly child, or whatever else seems would illicit the most sympathy). Now doesn't think he can pull it of, so he bolts out the door, hides in a nearby business while walmart calls PD. He then takes off running from the officer, darts into traffic and ruins the life of yet another innocent person.
So who ARE we supposed to feel sorry for again?
I applaud for still having a sense of common sense.

ok i want just 1 person on here to tell me they r perfect!!! What he did was bad enough but the ultimate price was paid. RIP...His family will be tortured everyday by the things he has done, but let me tell u some of the good things about him. He has a beautiful littlegirl, that he loved with all of his heart. He came to her school and went of field trips. She was the light of his life. Everybody has a right to their own opinion but damn....let up a little bit. Dont think about him, think about his mom, dad, his 6 yr old daughter standing by his casket and wanting her daddy to reach out and hold her. You are heartless people and for all the people that say...God doesnt like ugly.....look in the mirror!!! RIP Brian, u wil be missed by many. See u on the other side

What is money for? If you don't got the money then there is programs to help peolpe in need of these things if you can't afford them so come off this sad story creap. They steel to sale.
Hey Wiseone...you aren't so wise. You have bad spelling and grammar! "creep" and "steal". Maybe Karma will send you "Hooked on Phonics" you cold hearted jerk!! I don't advocate stealing but he certainly didn't deserve to die. He didn't commit murder or some other heinous crime. He shoplifted a dehumidifier. You are sick, twisted and demented!

I'm saddened by the horrible things posted here. Shoplifting is not punishable by death. Clearly, he wasn't perfect but that certainly doesn't mean he deserved to die. May God have mercy on all of your hardened souls.

<quoted text>I did not hear that the poor man that hit the shoplifter was at UVA...I mean...that is who you MUST be talking about when you say a good and decent family...cause how good and decent is the family of this guy...HE had to resort to stealing....?? hmm where was his family when HE really needed THEM....Oh yeah..they are there now..waiting to see if he makes it...cause maybe he has some insurance money they can squabble over....
You are a horrible person!! You don't know his family and how can they be responsible for what 26 year old man did? It doesn't mean they don't still love him. They are grieving. You should move to a 3rd world country where this type extreme justice is acceptable. I'm sure you have made mistakes in your life.

I'll check in here... and eat some crow. I thought it was right and good that a felon that wouldn't learn would have to suffer some and yes, I wrote a wise ass comment.

But I am (hopefully) man enough to to say that I never wished that ANYONE's life should be taken from them. And for that I am sorry....

My beef with this story from the beginning though, was thank god some bystander, or other innocent little girl, didn't get hit and pay the ultimate price in this chase. When you make a bad choice, drop the stuff and say "Wow, that was a really bad decision, I'm sorry"...

But I am sorry for the other innocents whose lives will now be harder (or easier) in some way... my apologies.

Daily Horoscope for June 1

Scorpio

Watch out when dealing with other people early on, because it will be awfully easy to get bogged down in petty details. What's more, as the Moon moves into Scorpio later in the day, it's very subjective so you may find it quite hard to separate your emotions from your thoughts. This isn't a good day to discuss anything important, unless you want to go round in circles.
