There's Martins and the other one across Preston, Meadowbrook, thats it, They certainly don't have all the stuff like Lowes but for everyday hardware it beats going to Lowes.

not only do current retail spaces need to be consistently maintained (eg: MAIN st) but adding more stores that bring more cheap goods from overseas is not the answer to our poor economy.

as for chain restaurants, we have one of the largest restaurant-to-resident ratios in the entire nation, and TONS of delicious LOCALLY OWNED restaurants! bring business to OUR PEOPLE, not to some faceless chain owner. or are you too scared to try something that doesn't have a corporate agenda?

furthermore, traffic on that exit is already a grueling bottleneck as well as the majority of 5th street in general. if we have that many jobs added (hypothetically) we'll have that many people reporting in late for work b/c they can't get to their job on time.
