Which company has the worst woring conditions, the biggest jerks for managers, least pay, worst benefits, lay you off before you are able to apply for company benefits or have you work throgh a temp. company for too long to keep your pay lower with no benefits, disrespects their employees, look for reasons to fire, rude, lude, or any other reason you can think of to rank them as the "Wost Place to Work in Crossville".

Most of the factories here pay low wages, work you to death and treat you like crap. Why wont better companies move here? You would think the low wages would bring them here. Maybe someone is running them off on purpose to protect the ones who are already here. Dont want higher wages or better work enviroments comming to town or those getting rich off almost slave labor will not be able to compete.

Demand higher wages from the local policians. If their job depended on it I bet there would be companies lining up at the door.

Excellent post! I hope eveyone responds who had been treated aweful. I moved here five years ago and have been laid off six times with no excuse. Funny how each of htem hired me back after I had been gone long enough. There is something going on here.

Stonepeak, Colinx, and Predue were the worst. Each was through a head hunter like At Work whose employees can be very rude at times. They offer benefits but know their benefits are too expensive for the pay and suck anyway. They will end you assigment in two seconds for any reason just liket he rest. funny how they dont do that with full time employees.

Arromark was actually a good company to work for with benefits and higer pay. Managers were fair and you did not stay in fear of your job being lost.

All the companies who use temp companies. That is why they use them. This way they can get away with treating the employee like dirt and being able to say it wasnt their fault. They hide behind the temp company. They end your assignment just before ou were going to go regular with that company like someone else said on here and they treat you differently than the regular employees.
Wonder why no one goes to an attorney like to do in other areas of the state and country. If more did this they would stop when it cost the companies enough money.

For all the answers to this and more, research the function of our town's beloved Chamber Of Commerce. Compare who runs it and what it does against the employers mentioned in this topic, and I bet you'll find some interesting results.

Hilltoppers they treat you like crap do not give a rats azz about you pay min wadge no matter how long your their .no raises they can't afford them they claim.Your benefits such as insurance vacation time personal time don't start until a year and a half after you start .which is ridiculous.they can't keep employees they go thru them like underwear so that outta tell ya something is wrong.Take my advice never work there !

True it is but in reality when you ask for your separation notice they have to provide a reason for your dismissal. This is where morals come in. Tennessee is a right to work state. Employers do not need a reason to let someone go nor do they have to give you a separation notice or tell you why you are being discharged.

and nope according to rule 0800-09-01 of the Tennessee Employment Security Law employers are required to, within 24 hours, provide a separation notice properly executed giving reason for separation.

Anything else that needs cleared up?

That law is on the books but is not and has never been enforced. Try to get a separation notice from an employer who doesn't want to give you one and see how far you get with it.
