Bad news for supporters of Sioux nickname

The terrorists will think they have won, if we leave they will ALL come out of the woodwork to create havoc on more areas of our nation than the twin towers. They will attack in small cells...it took hundreds of FBI agents 24/7 to capture Lee Malvo...millions of illegal immigrants...I shudder to think...

Get a life anti-Fighting Sioux forces. It's such a ridiculous joke. I won't even take anti-Fighting Sioux forces serious until Indian high schools first change their names from Indain logos/nicknames. Also, the arguement to end all arguements: If UND was still the Flickertails and was looking to change it's name to something to be proud of, something of this area, something that's tough and fierce and loyal of this area I'm sure someone might just suggest "Fighting Sioux". However then I bet UND would probably say no that wouldn't be right/acceptable in this day of political correctness and then the anti-Sioux forces of now would scream at UND you're not proud of the Fighting Sioux, you're ashamed to have us represent your athletic teams, you're not inclusive of our group and diverse, etc..... I can just see that happening w/o a doubt. However, if UND ends up having to change their great name then I hope it's to "Sun Dogs" as it's something that's fairly unique to this area.

The debate is people wanting to make noise. I am part Sioux and am proud to be part of the fighting Sioux. Yes our people did fight for things they believed in and I will fight for this cause. I have friends who are Irish and they all want to go to Notre Dame to be part of the fighting Irish. There are more people who know who the Sioux are only because of the school. Be thankful, oh and by the way if it gets changed no more free money for the Sioux. I know I appreciated it! So all the Non Sioux and Sioux noise makers please remind the Sioux that a lot of free money that is diverted their/our way once the name is gone should change. They have tried to help us and once more we are preventing ourselves from making good. Get the Chip off your shoulder and be proud.
