Man I have never been to this thing but once, lived here all my life but just never went. I thought the food was great, those firemen know how to cook, really good meat. Singing was better than I remembered it being the last time I went. Lots of things to do and man a lot more people than I had thought would be there. Hats off to all those involved in making this happen. I know its for our firefighters, and I think they are the best in this county at least, but I think they are doing it for the community more than the community showing up for them. Thanks guys for what you do, and I did not know until today that you all did not get paid a dime, wow that takes commitment. I read a guys shirt one time that said, when your running away the firemen are running in, how true. Had a great time and can't wait until next year.

CONGRATS to the Firemen, and Paden Youth Organization!! What a SUPER job you did this weekend. The inflatables for the children and games provided from the PYO was awesome. I know my little ones had so much more fun this year with the changes. Keep it up.....I LOVE PADEN!

Thanks for correcting me, but I KNEW that, if you read closely I never gave the compliment to the PYO for the inflatables, I said that my little ones enjoyed the games they provided....for example egg toss, pass the pretzel, etc. I'm NOT going to get into a 'tit for tat' that the other poll has become. Stay on track about keeping the kids busy, NOT who did what for who.

The 4th of july is coming quick! I hope its a good turn out this year hopefully no dry weather. If we do have dry weather i would hope to see that large piece of land north of paden ( owned by????)before the docks MOWED not only for fire reasons, also for the fleas, ticks, snakes, possums, etc . Its getting a little ridiculous just a wee bit high on the weeds. Isnt there a "keep your land mowed" law in this town? Does this town pass out fines for that or what?~ Mow your field please! thank you...

Hey just wondering for sure what piece of land your talking about, do you mean before the viduct? Also if it is actually in city limits you can take it to city council and ask them to tell the owners to mow it because it is a hazard.

The dead stuff under and IN it can though, especially if there is trash in it too. But, I'd sure love the town to keep it's lawn mowed. We've been a bit negligent with our's but I think with good reason. I'll get to the weedeating ASAP.So please don't bring it back on me. LOL We know our lawn needs work. It's hard with a messed up foot and me running errands and cleaning house with the 4 kids all here. Sorry if it's an eyesore to ya!

Well, c-mon....c-mon since you are an inspector then you should have known this.(about the field being too high) do we really think we should have a hay field in town? Maybe we should have a city code enforcement for EYE-SORES..bug infested, and rodent infested areas.I would also like to say THANK YOU! For getting at it so quickly after I complained.~ have a good holiday weekend....piratemom

piratemom what is considered town and not. one block to the west is where people keep pigs and 200 ft horses are kept. So i guess i could fence it off and put livestock but no hay. Its Paden, maybe you should live in Edmond. OR by the property and put a wal-mart there. I would enjoy a wal-mart.

c- mon man, this is a TOWN. Ok so there is pigs and horses....hmmmmm, but it doesnt seem like they have 5ft of grass. Just get off your a** and mow it more often.~ Also, did you happen to see the THANK YOU i left ya? And no thanks i will stay here in paden. 8 yrs, ago when i first came to this TOWN... It was a little run down. But through the years everyone in this TOWN has pitched in weather it was a neighbors yard, or just simply their own yard, to make this TOWN presentable and clean, and down home. So it seems to me that you might not want to pitch in.~ im sorry for you... Good Day!

and by the way piratemom i have lived here for 44 years,my mother and her mother and so forth!!! you get it.i don't know where you came from and don't really care! but you need to learn some manners!! my husband put in at least 40 hours on a back hoe clearing and cleaning an eye sore that has been there for as long as i or anyone in this town can remenber,i'm all for cleaning up paden! and it needs to start with alot of trashy yards and property around here!!! take you a little drive around town and a good look at it. if you see nothing but tall grass that needs cleaned up i'll say no more!! u might want to watch what you say about people u don't know!!you sound like a busy body who needs to worry about her own buiness!!i don't normally care what people say and do around here, because i mind my own business, but now u have involved me,so watch your mouth!!!!! dana stewart
