buddy league basketball (man)

so does anyone know if any of the kids got picked on tackets team and who if any?

kc is not treasure she is sec.i don't have a kid playing so no i'm not mad just think its funny how some of you are so nieve.and really this is not just about allstars its about how all the money come up missing so go on and worry about your allstar player.say everybody is jealous because their child did'nt make allstars i really think some would just like to be reinbursed for things they paid for.and forget this year ever happened.a lot of parents don't want their child to be connected with allstars.

thurs night the meeting started at 6 the coaches put the names on the paper and they all voted. i was there and no one didnt get to vote the 3 grade boys is the only one it is going to be done this week. and april is not the treasure katrina is. most of you people on here just do not know what you are talking about. just want to start trouble like always in everything you do. and we do care about our kids and there grades. when they get to middle and high school they have to make the grades just cassie m and robear at the middle school in basketball. great ball players but did not have the grades.sorry guys work harder next time because baseball is coming up. so dont tell me some of us dont care we do. this happens in every sport so people dont think its just this i have been in this a long time. the little league has had people before and i knew them personaly and i know they took money. theres just no rules in basketball and know one in charge like football and baseball. so lets just get through this yr. and we learned a lesson the hard way. come to the meeting and change things for next yr. and stop this running our mouths and do it different next yr i am sure it will change. i wish they could all make it. we are already behind logan and cv. by two weeks. so we have to get started practiceing. now the weather hurt all of us. that was noones fault. if your kid did not make it by now im sorry they can just try harder next yr. i promise it will be better next yr. we need alot of help though. so lets all stop all of this bull and let the kids play ball. love all you kids work hard and practice practice practice.......

What would be fair for all stars is to go by player stats. The 4 highest scoring guards, 4 highest scoring forwards and then 2 centers. It won't ever be done that way though because it would be FAIR. People of Man are teaching their children you can do your best and play your hardest and still not be rewarded. If your mom or dad isn't a coach or they aren't willing to butt kiss you can be Micheal Jordan and not get picked. If the people of Man would stick together and boycott this BS and not pay their money next weekend to finance this farce of an All star team maybe would see a change or at least piss them off

i agree with you 1000% and thats why i stopped my son from playing.

First things first, Robear is still playing for the Middle School!! You as a parent should stop talking about a child if your not sure. As far as some parents that do care, all parents care about the kids, the only ones upholding the BS that has went on this year is the kid's parents that made allstars!!! This entire league has been a huge joke this season. I hope it gets better next year, but with lying, stealing convicts running the show and two-faced coaches on the so-called "board", nothing will ever be better! Also, just wondering if our children will get trophies this year or has all the money already been spent on allstars. Our children have received trophies every year, but this year they are suppose to get t-shirts. Why did the league not wait until the season was over and trophies were bought for the regular season before they spent any money on allstars? I know the allstars need money for stuff, but the fact is, allstars consist of coaches kids(that shouldn't be on it) and a couple of other players that actually deserve it. After reading previous posts, I don't think I will attend this weekend, I would rather spend my money on my children instead of paying for the BS allstars!!!

yes this is the way it should be done but i wonder if they even keep books with all this on it i bet if they do and they actualy looked at them they would be suprised theirself as to who should make it.and i would like to know if being a coach makes your child automaticaly a good player.because all coaches kids made the team and some of them can't even walk without stunbling. and know i'm not jealous i woul'nt support the all stars if i had a child that could play he would be pulled off because of the way its being done.if you go to the games and pay to get in you are paying for the all stars to play.who is going to coach this coaches all stars team?

lisen i love robear i didnt mean anything im sorry i wouldnt hurt him for anything. he was the one that told us he thought he ws off the time i was just trying to make a statement to the kids. im glad he is still playing that is great. and everyone it has been this way for yrs. its just not just this yr. coaches kids play and do you know way because the coaches have to pick get this this is really travel ball we all say allstars its not. buddy league is not like football or baseball they are an organization. there is no organization in this league. the coaches sometimes have to pick some kids that may not need to be on there but because there are so many parents that cannot get their kids to the games they dont get picked and its not fair but thats the it is. and sometimes there are coaches that just dont but kids on there because of their own reasons. i have been in all of them and coached them and been to all the allstars games in everything fb bb bb all of them . like i said i wish all of them could make it but until you all come to help out when we need it then theres nothing we can do. we do with what we have. there is alot of people thats upset i agree but let the kids that made it enjoy it and stop downing the ones that made travel,allstars what ever. like i said we have be the ones to change all of this next yr. so lets do it.

sounds like a little jealousy. Didn't your child make all stars? Sounds like he didn't. you people crack me up complaining about all stars!!! If your child was good enough then I am sure they would have made it. Don't blame everyone else for your child not being as good as others. Work with your kids and maybe they will become better players,and get to play more next year.

The thing that really cracks me up is how people bend the rules and do things they are not supposed to do and still dont WIN! That makes it worse! If your going to break the rules and winning is the only thing that matters you better damn well win!

no see you are wrong my child did make it and they make every yr. ha ha and yes it is about winning why dont you all come out and coach next yr and see if you can do better. things are just done different up here at man. im sure it is the same way other places too. because just talk to people at the tournment games its the same way just different players and coaches. and beleive me if kids would have parents that would bring them to practice all the time and the games like they should instead of doing their own thing then we could be better but there are some kids that want to play so bad but their parents cant seem to find time for them when the kids need them so dont tell me about winning. and believe me im there everytime and other times when i dont have to be taking kids picking them up helping in the allstars have done it for yrs and will keep doing till they get in middle school and then i will get a rest because they will play there they are that good so dont tell me that im jealous never have been and never will be. i played myself so i know these things. there is to much drama here in man to many drugs,to much back stabbing,and way to much talking about people that the ones talking have no life themselves so thats the only thing they have to do. they need to shut up and do some good for a change.im so sick of people in this town you do anything good here. but like i said other places are the same so my family lives here been here all my life cant leave now.............

Listen, I dont have a kid in this league, but the way your sounding, you are fitting in well with this bunch of league representatives. and you told that poster, that they sound a little jealousy, well ya wanna know what your sounding like?????????? and from what i am hearing from these posts and street talk, these kids arent the "real" allstars, these are "coaches kids" and few select ones, who got picked by 1 certain person!!!! True allstars would have been the kids who played the best all season, and had the best stats!!!! not the kids who have the best dads/moms/grandparents/uncle/a unts/cousins/etc, who coach!!

In my opinion, any parent who allowed their child to participate in these so called "Travel" games are as guilty as CG. You sold your integrity so your child could play knowing it was wrong. You sold your child short. Did you not believe in their skills enough to let it play out. How does it feel to crawl out of bed with CG? That's where you have been for months. Hell no, I am not jealous of anyone picked. Without a doubt most of them picked are good players. There is a lot of talent in these kids some coaches kids, some not. My only problem with the whole thing is the deseat you allow your childre to be a part of. Each time you look at the pictures of your child playing, I hope you remember what a truely GREAT influence you are. Stick your chest out, smile real big, say my child is on the Allstars, and at the same time know it was wrong and hope the kids don't find out. Nothing good comes from wrong doing.

made it, travel ball, all stars what ever you want to call it. I'm confused on one thing, how is letting my son do something he enjoys, how is that wrong? I'm not on the board, I had nothing to do with running the bb league, how exactly am I "in bed" with anyone?

What deceit exactly am I or any other parent that allows their child to play allowing them to be part of?

people running the league stealing money, coach's kids all make the all star team, rules change depending on what team is playing. come on people. this stuff has been goin on for as long as i can remember. not only in basketball, but football and baseball too. its never gonna change. people from man are not interested in teaching kids anything. they do it for their own kids because thats the only way they can make sure they get to handle the ball, play whatever position they want, bat clean up. its all a crock of crap and always will be. that is why you will never ...NEVER... see man win in any allstar, travel team,..whatever you want to call it...tourney anywhere....PERIOD!!

you're saying, we shouldn't let our kids play? What's the solution? I don't agree with most of what goes on in any of the three sports either, but do we not allow our children to play because the ones that do run things don't do what's right? How's that fair to the kid that has busted his butt all year, gone to all their practices, all their games, and did make the team, we're suppose to tell them,
