tow company price gouging

yea i was in massachucetts and my car tire feel off and a company called r.w's towing charged me $250 to tow my car about six miles. then they towed it to there lot and added fees to it so they would be able to keep my car.

I've never had to use a towing service, but this thread has convinced me not to use OC's if I ever need one. Not because of the accusations about the business practices, and not because of the rumors about the family and their personal lives, but because of the owner himself and the way he's carried himself in a public forum. He has definitely succeeded in making himself look extremely unprofessional with all the bad language and the perceivably threatening talk.
A professional would have involved themselves in such ridiculous drama in the first place. He did though, and that just places him in the same low level as those who started all of this unnecessary bashing.

Hey randy, next time don't let your kid bury his 2wd truck up to the doors back there in the pits. You were told what was needed and the price, don't be mad because CPD and the SO had you face down on the ground in the middle of Lowes parking lot when you were such a big man to threaten to pull a gun on us. my hubby is a tow truck driver, though we dont work crestview, if you dont have insurance, the average tow is 70.00. what would have been a fair price. 20.00. the tow trucks still have to pay high insurance( in case you say they scratch your car, and didnt) and all the fees, diesel, salaries. yeah, he should have done your for 20.00 cause your special.

Heck I'd like to see the thread still going to see how much longer OC's will still be in business. Haven't seen the trucks out much lately, but have noticed Crestview Paint and Body with a new medium duty and saw a new heavy duty around FWB. Heck I've even seen Fletcher's doing a lot of work around Fort Walton.

Cobb's towing got a new heavy duty. Noone knows they have it though. The old man don't promote his business much. they're light duty's are busy enough themselves. I also see Fletcher's here in fwb. They're rollbacks and the heavy trucks. Right now with the economy, alot of tows at a cheaper price are better than a few tows at a higher price... word gets around quick here, and people will refer others to the cheaper.

I see OC out and about quite a bit. Saw them towing a large truck down by Eglin last week. Looked like they were headed back to Crestview.

oc's sucks period. he's such a rip off artist . He sucks his mechanics suck and their all a bunch of alcoholics . dont believe me just stop by and get a .50 beer out of the pop machine it has a empty label on it ....................

I here-tell of a new company towing for WM. I nice shiny black Peterbilt was spotted towing one of their trucks. That bread's getting a little dry without it's butter.
