In the state of Florida, it is unlawful for a HIV positive person to engage in sexual activity with someone without disclosing their disease.

The Florida Public Health Code Section 384.24 states the following regarding Sexually Transmissible Diseases--Unlawful Acts:
It is unlawful for any person who has human immunodeficiency virus infection, when such person knows he or she is infected with this disease and when such person has been informed that he or she may communicate this disease to another person through sexual intercourse, to have sexual intercourse with any other person, unless such other person has been informed of the presence of the sexually transmissible disease and has consented to the sexual intercourse.

The law is pretty clear; IT IS ILLEGAL to engage in sexual activities without disclosing your health status when you knowingly are infected with a sexually transmitted disease/infection. We must remember the very basic notion behind the laws that have been created to protect us; "your rights end, where another person's rights begin.

Maybe the best lesson here is keep it in your pants. Male or female. Maybe its time we stop having casual sex and get to know our partners for longer than a night. HIV isn't cancer, it can be avoided.

Karen, you need to contact the florida department of health. You also need to contact Okaloosa State Attorney's office. They need to know there was more than just one.

Totally agree, know your partners well, get a blood test before you sleep with someone.

Daily Horoscope for November 29

Scorpio

You need to take time out to spend with your partner today as he/she probably has something they need to share with you. If you don't take the time now, while empathetic Neptune is stimulated by the caring Moon, you'll find that tomorrow won't go very smoothly. Take this opportunity to work things out, even if it's the last thing you want to do today. A little sacrifice is called for.
