You know the 'woulda shoulda coulda's..but didn't" of life? I've often thought about Tank. He and his family owned what was called the Silver Dollar. He is my 'what if...". Anyone know of his where abouts and how he is doing? I've since moved far from Rochelle...but he will always be in my heart. Tell him Carole from long ago was asking about his "jeep", and she says hello. This was the best way I could think of to let him know I still cared. Thank you.

I'm not sure I ever knew what his dad did before they owned the Silver Dollar. This was in the mid 80's. Tank had a brother and little sister. He had a daughter last I heard and lived on 9th st. in a corner house. But, like I said..long time ago. Thank you for replying. |

Probably not his dad, the former cop John Wells who busted my chops many a time in the old days, probably wouldn't have had a son who would own a hillbilly bar like the Silver Dollar was. Hope you find your friend.

Tank passed away very recently. Sorry to let you know this way, but thought you would want to know just the same. I didn't know him personally, but I've hear a million stories about him and the Silver Dollar from my husband.

OOOOPPPPSSS!!! VERY SORRY!!! I misspoke. Tank's DAD "Papa John" passed away a short time ago. They sold the bar after Shirley passed away and went into the construction business. Tank and his gal still live in the area, but not in Rochelle. Sorry again for any panic or confusion I might have caused.
