Him and his wife make enough money in the district. Plus they just laid off teachers and don't pay full for current teachers to further their degrees! Sad

The district just raised the registration fees and athletic fees. Taxes are already high. The district is not meeting basic standards. This man and his wife make an enormous salary between them. The district better not reimburse them (the teachers don't get reimbursed and they are supposed to be the ones that actually educate). Parents should refuse to pay any registration fees if this nonsense goes through.

Since we are on the subject of the Superintendent,
We should ask him about the alleged discrimination lawsuites filled against the principal at RHS.
That the superintendent is trying to sweep under the carpet.

Well, the SOB got his (or should I say OUR) money. The SOB board members need to explain this waste. Parents really need to unite and refuse any registration fees in protest! Vote these bums out. How dare they give this man almost $70,000 of our taxes to a guy that can well afford it, and then cry how sad that they have budgeting woes. With idiots like this running our school district, it isn't any wonder why our kids are failing big time (it's not the only reason, but certainly one of the biggest problems)!

As a teacher and a parent in this district, it makes me SICK! Teachers get $125 per credit hour (limit of 12 hours) per year to continue their education, as required by state law. Yet he can go get a PhD, when he won't even be in a classroom, and the district will just cut him a check like it's nothing. Cut teacher's jobs, threaten to take away our salary reimbursements, threaten to freeze our salaries all because the district has so little money. However, they were able to write that check for $66K. They were able to get that Odyssey program for the middle schools for 3 years without even piloting the program. WHat the hell is going on with that board and WHY, WHY are more of you not going to the meetings and speaking up. This is YOUR tax dollars and your voices need to be heard, not on here, but at the meetings and when voting in these SOBs!

The teachers are the ones that need a reimbursement.
I am please with both the Mitchems but they are the last people
who should be getting reimbursement.

You know how they say charector counts,
Well the board is do as I say not as I do..
Let's ask the Superintendent "how did you meet your current wife."
I know she was your student when you were teaching at RHS.

Exactly! And now she is a principal! I wonder if her job has been threatened by him like many of the other admins in the district. I know for a fact he told one that she needed to make it happen HIS way or he'd find someone else who would. Has the misses job ever ben on the line?! They both drive around with lovely cars and the plate: VVSD1 and VVSD2. Talk about thinking they own the place!

What bothers me about that situation is that there is a policy in the district that no one can be a direct supervisor over a family member who also works within the district. The board never addressed this issue, but several parents and teachers did. Nothing was done. This board needs to be investigated by the state.

Here is the perfect example why Romeoville residents need to get out to vote!!!!
We have one Romeoville resident on the Board and I believe he was appointed the seat.
Romeoville needs to be represented.
We had some great people from Romeoville that were campaigning, one of them was a principal with a doctorate and of course romeoville did not come out to vote.
Let's keep this in mind and let's get out to vote
And let Romeoville be heard.

I believe that there are two ( Gougis and Venegas) but it's not a matter of Bolingbrook vs Romeoville. This is one unified school district and as such, all of the taxpayers of the district should be concerned.

You are right is should not matter if it is Bolingbrook or Romeoville.
But it does matter.

Daily Horoscope for May 24

Capricorn

If you need to get someone organized, this is the day to do it. You'll sort things out without sounding bossy or patronizing, and you'll also get co-operation instead of resistance. It's a good day for having a serious chat with a child, perhaps because you need to explain something and want to make sure you do it properly, in a way that doesn't create confusion or fear.
