The safety with the water issue was not important to them. They proved that. You do all your own research. We have heard the answers and do not like what we heard. If you are in it to pursue it, then you pursue it. We will pursue it at election time. Figured as much, all talk and no action when someone asks you to post your facts of a 100% funded grant you spouted off about. Just a bunch of rumors from someone just like the majority. Not one person on here can post the proof.

We will fix them at election time. We have big mouths too. It does not have to be one hundred percent, and what ever it is it should be fixed NOW. The word is going out to all residents of our district that this is a political issue with you. It is one that you are not for the kids of the district, you are for putting more money in the pockets of your friends. We will get the accounts. We already know that you paid out money to the ex employees. Watch for us at the ballot box. You should talk about facts and rumors, you big bunch of moro^ns. No matter what you write, it is too late. We are passing the word to many and many more everyday. It is called grass roots.

Once again I'm a citizen just like you not on the city council so not scared of how you vote. I hope the majority gets replaced just like you. Everyone always thinks everything needs to be fixed right now. With out good water with good pressure it will not matter what the sidewalks look like. If the kids can't drink the water or shower but have good sidewalks what does it matter. If they make it to school on good sidewalks but it burns to the ground because of bad pressure it wiil not matter. They have sidewalks now and make it there. Yes there is a need for more but it's not as important as the water issue at hand. If it helped I would go and help do the sidewalks, but water first before the EPA drains every cent Lockport has.

Have you not been watching the meetings or attending. According to the majority and Robinson, all we need to do is spend $280,000 not 25mil close the 2 wells, for plenty of capacity, we don't need to fix anything else right now. So the water issues are all resolved. Anyone else find it interesting that according to Robinson we have the capacity after closing 2 wells no problem, but yet last meeting this same majority passed the approval for more than $10,000 to go to nonother than Robinson for a well site study on where to drill a new well. How can we have the capacity to close 2 wells and be totally safe, fire protected, etc, but yet now have to do a well site study and buy land etc for another well. Proves our point at the meetings, on the street, and on blogs like these, someone owes Robinson on the majority big time. How much engineering does it take to close a well, lets see we have spent over 100,000 with Robinson already for what. At this rate we will be near a million in fees to Robinson before election time, yet no work is being done except studies. Oh yes, I am sure we will be paying Robinson to go to Springfield shortly to defend there plan with the attorney general along with the majority new law firm as well. For all those that want facts these statements above are facts and have been stated by the majority not the public. I know the next few posts will be: well Pete this and Pete that. All to deflect the issue onto others away from themselves. We will be waiting for your same garbage from your keyboard.

We are going to ask the Superintendent and the principals to attend and put down Van Dyke at the meeting for not doing our sidewalks for the safety of our kids. I do not care what it costs, their safety should be guaranteed. This grant never should be wasted with the Illinois Department ok'd it. They are cheapskates with the children of Kelvin Grove and Fairmont. We need our people to stand up against them and make a stink. Make them look like the misers they are when it comes to our kids. Give off with their false propaganda all they like, we do not care! We intend to get all these representatives or so called ones that are against voting for children's safety water wise and sidewalk wise OUT of office. Even if you fix it now, it won't overshadow what you said already, Turner and his gang. We read this forum and you should be ashamed.

I've never been impressed with Van Dyke since I started watching the meetings. He talks alot but doesn't say much and he votes against things like this that should be no-brainers.

I live in VanDyke's area and I remember how he promised to be civil and transparent if he were elected. He has been neither and his judgement is questionable at best. I supported him 4 years ago but will not do so now.

I guess Van Dyke doesn't want to get re-elected. I can't believe he voted to build another well in my backyard that will increase my water pressure and blow out my pipes. My water pressure is already too high. Then he votes against widening MacGregor - unbelievable! Can't wait for the old crank to get kicked off the board!
