Sue Cyrus and Dennis Rader Annouce Plans to Wed

I located this clipping about the Italian prime minister, which should be a warning to all Americans.

The ultra-rich are buying up newspapers in the U.S. at an alarming rate and even control their own cable TV channels. For now, they have just a few, but here is a cautionary tale from another country.

If we don't wake up to the poison being spread by media moguls manipulating ignorant, illiterate redneck nuts, we may find ourselves with the American equivalent of new Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi.

He was voted into office despite allegations of Mafia connections and questions about how he acquired his personal fortune (which he used to buy all three of his country's national netowrks, as well as newspapers and newsmagazines).

Berlusconi out-spent his opponents 20-1.

Convicted four times of perjury, falsifying financial records, tax offenses and bribery, Berlusconi has a shady record with several criminal indictments still pending.

The "news" broadcasts on Berlusconi's networks were so scandalously partial they were almost indistinguishable from his campaign advertising.

Much like FOX network’s so-called "news," in other words.

Berlusconi’s opponents during the campaign had to buy advertising from him, and from him alone, and he set the prices, personally.

A flamboyant demagogue with extremist friends, Berlusconi previously led a populist coalition that openly embraced racist and neofascist parties.

The Italian gangster-turned-media-mogul-tu rned politician compares himself to Napoleon and delights in ridiculing AIDS victims.

Only 20% of Italians subscribe to a daily newspaper, making it easy for Berlusconi to manipulate the flow of information.

During an impromptu interview with reporters Susan Cyrus of Crescent City CA is pleased to announce her marriage to Dennis Rader.

After several years of torrid correspondences by mail, Miss Cyrus’s curiosity finally got the better of her and she traveled (by bus) to Wichita, Kansas to meet Mr Rader in person and two days later a giddy and smiling Miss Cyrus gushed to reporters,“I’m so in love!” adding,“This time I know it’s forever.” and announced the couples engagement.

The date for the wedding has not been announced but the smitten couple has already decided on a location. The wedding and the reception will take place at the El Dorado Correctional Facility near Wichita, Kansas where as Mr Rader, who is better known as "BTK" (Blind-Torture-Kill), is currently serving a 125 year sentence for the torture and murder of at least ten men women and children.

Miss Cyrus was asked by a reported if she feared marrying a man convicted of such heinous crimes? She smiled and said “None of you know him the way I do. He is a really good person, one of the nicest men I have ever known.” Then, after being quiet for a moment, she continued “Dennis admits that he is a killer, but he says the killing were not his completely his fault and I believe him. He is so misunderstood.” With a tears slipping slowly down her cheek, Miss Cyrus added,“Oh God, I love him so much!”

Conjugal visits are not permitted at El Dorado Correctional Facility, but the couple has made a formal request to the state of Kansas to allowed them to consummate their marriage. According to Miss Cyrus,“Not allowing men to have sex just because they have made a few mistakes is nothing but cruel and unusual punishment”. She feels that her and her husband are no different than any couple in love and that after they are married they have the same right to “marital bliss” as they would if her future husband did not happen to be a sexually sadistic bondage killer. As for Mr Rader, he quipped,“I can hardly wait to be alone with a woman after all these years!” If the request for a conjugal visit is denied the couple indicated they plan to take their case all the way to the Supreme Court if needed.

This is the second marriage for Mr Rader, who’s first wife divorced him in 2005, This will be the fourth Miss Cyrus’s fourth marriage. Miss Cyrus intends to spend the night after the wedding suite at the Wichita Motel Six where she will “quietly contemplate” the joys of love and marriage”

- In 1979 Kathie Briggs (Kelsey’s paternal grandmother) gave up custody of her children on the courthouse steps saying, "If you don’t take these children, I’ll kill every one of them." It took her two years to regain custody.

- Lance Briggs (Kathie Briggs’ son and Kelsey’s father) was arrested on May 4, 2001 for slamming Raye Dawn against the wall with his forearm and holding her there by the throat

- On October 22, 2001 Lance entered a plea for the assault and battery and domestic abuse of Raye Dawn

- Raye Dawn was beaten by Lance several times during their relationship. Raye Dawn appeared in public and witnesses saw her at school with more than one black eye.

- Raye Dawn finally left Lance in 2002 after growing tired of the abuse and finding Ashley (the 19 year old girl Lance married after Raye Dawn left him) leaving their driveway when Raye returned home while Raye and Lance were still married.

- Lance broke into Raye's home on two occasions after their break up and destroyed and stole many of Raye's personal items. Kathie later returned some of the items (figurines) she found on their property not knowing Lance had stolen them.

- On August 2, 2002 Lance cussed out a female officer after hitting another vehicle. The officer smelled alcohol on his breath but he was let go.
