I certainly hope the best for this young lady... I've always wanted to revisit the ship a shore restaurant.. Haven't been for a ton of years,, and she works there.. Wow.

My heart goes out to the family. I hope you are able to get answers quickly and that anyone that knows something will come forward. I hope if a crime has been committed that the perpetrator is quickly captured and punished.

I also wish the best possible outcome for this young woman and her family.

Best to the family and all my good thoughts for a positive end.

Her car "was found abandoned and on fire." How can it be anything other that foul play? Her family must be terrified.

I am so sadden and sickend by the loss of this gal. Her parents and loved ones are in my prayers and hopefully we all will find out something soon. I wish there was something we could do.

So just how bad do the posts have to be to have the monitor of the TS blog page sit up, take notice and go...uh oh...You're out of here! Geez...some comments are just hateful, profane, and come from the minds of sickos. Please TS, for the sake of the families that may actually look at your pages, please delete the unhealthy, unproductive and generally hateful comments that serve ABSOLUTELY no purpose, but to enrage and provoke.

All you folks who leave the encouraging and touching comments are to be thanked because when its all said and done your comments are what will encourage her mommy and I know she along with her Crescent City family, will be grateful for your love and concern for their much missed Michelle.

There is nobody around to delete the filthy posts on these comment boards, I have been trying to get them removed, so just don't pay any attention. The sickos get an electrical charge in their demented brains when they get an emotional response to their off the wall comments. Maybe calling the editorial office at the Times-Standard may help to get them removed.

* Jeffrey Eldon Osborne, probation hearing, felony, assault with a deadly weapon or great bodily injury force/not firearm, sentenced to 30 days jail, probation is revoked and reinstated under all original terms, defendant waives all custody credits through today, all other orders, not in conflict, remain in full force, route to jail.(Judge Marilyn B. I'm pretty sure the T-S has nothing to do with moderating this board. Topix does that.

Maybe law enforcement should peruse these forums. The anonymity people think they have is an illusion. Postings can be traced, of course. Maybe they already do it, if suspect comments are brought to the attention of the right person or agency. At the very least, this Crackmo character ought to be on the radar of the cops just because of the way his 'mind' works.

No, they can't necessarily be traced.

I, for example, use a proxy with a changing ip going into it. Good luck tracing me.

There must be some tweak somewhere....
