Anyone ever hear of these legend hauntings in the area

Harmarville - 13 bends - There was an orphanage that burned down with all the kids still in it, and when you go up the hill all the bump you go over are the buried children. When you go up the hill there are 13 bends, when you come down there are only 12. If you stop half way up the hill, turn your car off, put baby powder on the windows, then turn your car back on after a few minutes there will be little hand prints all over your windows. Sometimes at night you can hear screaming children

Harmarville - Campbells Run Road - Orphanage - During some nights you can see small white lights, fly around in this area. The blink in a rapid pattern of three to four blinks, then a short pause.

Harmarville - Campbells Run Road - The Trail - Three miners died. If you walk a trail near the road, during the day, they will walk past (appearing very real) and acknowledge you. They disappear after they pass you.

Harmarville - Campbells Run Road - The Woods - Three hunters died. You will see large orbs floating through the woods. Also appear as an apparition with out feet

I guess this is about the urban legends? Levelheaded....your a scream!

I remember my father, who grew up in a mining town, telling me that deaths in the local mines were pretty common. His father, my grandfather, died due to an accident in the mines.
He said everyone in the mining town knew when there was a death in the mine because all the dogs in town howeled incessently.
My dad told me this 60 years ago and I never forgot it.

i have actually done all of these things and thirteen bends is mostly true i never was able to do the baby powder i forgot it and by the time i had time to go back they blocked it off so u cant go through it but i have seen whats left of the orphanage and the bends thing is true there are 13 going up and u only count 12 coming back ive walked the trails for the miners and never seen anything but i have seen large orbs in the woods i also know of someother "haunted" places let me know if u want to hear about them

I just happened upon this site in searching for family photos of New Ken and now I'm totally interested in New Ken and the local areas. My brother is waiting for more also. Please post any other stories or legends you've heard or experienced in New Ken.

Lived in new Ken all my life and don't really know any such stories. The strangest place I ever visited was Torrance (the old mental hospital)- I drove through the grounds and past the old buildings and there was a strange feeling in the air I tell you. That place scares the S!@#T out of me.

How about the green man on top of bouqet hill?
He was struck by lighting, and has a green tint to his skin when you shine a flash light on him at night. He chased kids off the hill at night.
This was back in the sixties

The Green Man is based on fact, althgough he wasn't on Boquet Hill. I'll search the web for a link.

When I was in high school, a few guys I knew found an old casket and, I think, as a halloween prank, set it up on the side of a road that I don't remember, It may have been out 7th st. toward Upper Burrell. One of them layed in it and when a car came around a bend and the headlights shined on it the guy sat up in it. The guys that did it claimed there was a lot of speeding up and tires spinning. Rumor got around about the haunted bend and a dozen different stories imerged for the next several months.

My grandparents owned a large house on 3rd ave. near the Alcoa gate on 14th st. where my aunts and uncles grew up. My aunt told me of a time when she and a neighbor girl were playing at the corner where the gate was. She said she saw a man with a suit on that had the back of it gone. It was a half suit. She said the two girls pointed and laughed at the man, who seemed to ignore them and continued walking away. She ran home and told her mother what she saw and her mother got distressed and commanded her to never go to that corner again. She said a couple of days later, her girlfriend was hit by a car on that corner and killed.
I'm just relaying what was told to me for what it's worth.
