hi me and my bf wanted to do job corp but we are expecting does anyone know if we could share a dorm or do we still have to live in separate dorms?

I'm currently a student at the Gainesvill JCC location in Florida. I've been there for a little over 6 months. Since my arrival, I have obtained my CMA, EKG, Phlebotomy, CMAA, and CPR. Within the next two months I will have my billing and coding certificate than will be going to KJCC for the LPN program. You really get out of the program hat to put into it. There is a lot of dram there but if you stay out of it and just do what needs to be done youll be in and out very quickly.
The only negative things I have to say are: dome of the staff acts more childish than the students, the higher up people are VERY unorganized, and yes, most of the time the food sucks but it's free so...

if you didnt go to high school at all can you still join job corps to get your ged or hs dip?

what was the name of the job corps you went to in VA?

Im curious to know how Kittrell JobCorp is doing now. These comments are from a few years ago. Does anyone know of any changes the center has done? good or bad?

I am currently a student here, studying health occupation. I enjoy studying this trade, but the campus life is not enjoyable. There are several fights, and bullying. I really would give it a second thought and look into other job corps, but who ever is going should have a strong backbone and be able to be independent and not really focus on being "in the crowd"

I had a blast at Potomac Job Corps. I made great friends... that's about it. I got my high school diploma through a FAKE PHONY home school program they started in my honor. I came to Job Corps from another state to get my diploma but I already had completed my diploma through both public and home schooling. My home state wouldn't officiate it so I went to Job Corps. I was the only student who brought them a huge portfolio of 3.5 years worth of home school high school lessons in every subject. The school officials at Potomac Job Corps were so impressed that they decided to start a home school program that year. Job Corps got me my well deserved diploma and I completed my trade faster than anyone in my group so they sent me to do different jobs within DC. Months later, I graduated with honors. I entered college but life got in the way and I couldn't continue. Fast forward to now...I can't re-enter college because I do not have an official transcript. I called PJCC to send me another transcript with a raised seal. They denied my request. I did some research only find out that Potomac Job Corps was running a diploma and GED scam. People who had taken & passed their GED could not receive documentation. Now I am being forced to start all over again unless I can provide the proper documentation that Job Corps stole from me (my portfolio). Lesson of the story: Request multiple OFFICIAL documentation on each test or program you take that way you won't end up at the bottom all over again. Job Corps was NOT worth it.
