I am new in the area and would like to open a store. Does anyone know of any good commercial property for lease in Monterey?

thanks. We decided to look other places. We love the people there but the real estate is limited as well as the clientele. We decided to live there and work somewhere else lol.

I think the cup and saucer has been for sale for quite a while, lots of properties for sale. New buildings going up. Can't find out what tho, heard senior citizen apts and maybe a Freds, looks like something is being built across the street from post office. Someone is getting behind on their reporting, so get busy and find out and tell the rest of us the news.

The building going on across from the post office are low income senior citizens and handicap apartments. They are being built by the same ones who own the apartments behind the park.

Do you know if they're government funded? Heard Monterey is suppose to be a retirement town and thats ok, but shouldn't we make plans for our younger generation they will someday be seniors too.

I don't know if their government funded or not. I do know rent is based on your income and there is an income maximum you can't exceed. I know an elderly person who applied to rent one of the apartments behind the park and their social security check was more than the income limit so they were denied. They live in a run down apartment without central heat or air because that is all they can afford. Doesn't seem fair. Kind of like your being punished because you worked.
