22-year-old man shot to death at Mesquite apartment

why would anyone do this to Cornell? he was a father and now his kids are left to ask that same question forever. I hope who ever did this is caught and rots in prison

This was my good friend and I can't understand y this would happen at all.....he was a good man and was so genuine and laid back!!!

I don't know who the shooters were however I do know people that have been arrested in conjunction to this horrible crime. I did not know Cornell but I don't believe he deserved to this at all.

My prayers go out to Cornell's family! May god be with you !

All three shooters were caught and are in custody. You can find their info at dallascounty.org names Steven Williams, Brandon Foreman, and Dionte Mathews. This is very tragic I will not go into detail about what happened but they will get what they deserve.

What is this world coming to? All of these guys knew each other and if I'm not mistaken even friends. SO sad someones life was taken over stupidity. Justice will prevail and all 3 will get what they deserve. My heart hurts for the family and children of Cornell. A girlfriend of one of the guys arrested is very much in denial about all of this and is trying to get him bailed out. I hope like hell all 3 are denied bonds and remain in jail until sentencing.

I did not know Cornell but I have known one of the suspects for a while and would have never expected this. I wish I knew the situation ...I only have heard parts of it. But cornell seemed like a pretty great guy from what I have heard of..I have a few mutual friends of his....God bless his family and I am very sorry this happened

His babies will never know how much he loved them he'll never get to teach them about his sports "basketball" he loved so much. Cornell and I go way back to Wilkinson. We played b-ball and football with and against each other. I also was teammates with Steven Williams! While growing up with Cornell he was the last in my thoughts to get murdered!! It seems like yesterday when 8th grade was beating on 7th grade and Cornell was the only 7th grader who didn't want to quit. I loved that about Cornell his heart was tremendous I forever miss him until I can join him in heaven if I'm lucky enough to make it! To his parents I would like to apologize for the lost I know hurts but we'll all get through this as long as we pray. It took me awhile to respond because I'm in college in Florida. SO GOD BLESS AND KEEP YOURS HEADS UP BECAUSE CORNELL IS KNOW IN A BETTER PLACE

wow cornel gone? yeah i went to wilkinson middle school with him he was the biggest boy in the school haha. The days have not gotten easier as everyone who has said it would. The pain never goes away or subsides! My heart so misses my baby boy!! I know he is safe and that no one can harm him but it does not make this any easier!!! My miss my son so much no one will ever know the emptiness I have in my heart and soul!!
