Outrage after student's turban is set on fire

Although you could say the Sikh student's whose turban was set on fire was a "hot head," there is nothing funny about the incident and those responsible should be taught a lesson.

sikh must stop wearing the turban. This is america and we don't like turban. If you want to wear your turban go to live in acountry where it is welcome.

I think it's disgusting that someone would abuse another person like that, based on his religion.

I don't respect Sikhism or whatever you'd call the religion -- I don't respect ANY religion, because I think all religion is stupid and for the weak-minded.

But I still condemn attacks on religious people who are not doing anyone any harm. I still respect their freedom to choose their brand of stupidity, and would not harass or harm them for it.

Whoever did this should be charged with aggravated battery and reckless endangerment, and go to prison for a few years.

That's one way to light the torch of freedom.

Can we charge the attacker with a hate crime or does the victim have to be a democrat backed up by the Gay coalition, the NAACP, or the anti-Semitic league to qualify in America?

It is sad to hear such incidents,sikhs are most considerate and reasonable and also ahead to help any body in trouble, our teachings and history are full of examples of sacrifice ans service to mankind and this humilating incident is simply ridiculous and should be dealt with seriously to be a deterrant in future for such a outrageous discrimination

The idiot student who lit the fire should be expelled and criminal charges brought against him. But the school having an assembly to discuss the religion and the improper action is overkill. One student does something crazy and the entire student body is made to pay. These kids should be in class, not in an assembly.
