Fleetwood USED to be a great place to work, but if you ask those that remain there today and those that have lost their job with Fleetwood, most will agree! The company lost sight some years ago about what was important! They started treating the very employees that have made the company successful like CRAP! They got GREEDY and now they are suffering because of it . I feel bad for a few that are there but as a company they are getting what they deserve!! To those of you that have lost employment from fleetwood trust me it is not the end but a new beginning! Everyone that has ever left there (either by force or quit) say they miss some of the people but don't miss the place. For the mgt. of Fleetwood 44 I don't know how you all can sleep at night! You people do nothing that pertains to morals(doing it the right way)you picked and chose who left and who stayed with no regards to morality or loyalty. There is one person there still that has just 1 1/2 yrs. there that doesnt know near as much as another that had 16yrs. and was let go. Fleetwood's 44 mgt. is a joke and I will laugh my a** off when I see them standing in the unemployment line like the rest of us because they are nothin but arrogant,a** kissin, prejudice, fake people and will get everything they deserve!!!

WHAT'S YOUR OPINION ON FLEETWOOD? WOW I bet that is a question that many of us have wanted to answer for years. I know when I first started at Fleetwood I USED to enjoy going to work, but as time went, getting up for work was the hardest thing to do and I know many of you know exactally what I mean. Walking into that plant was so hard when you knew that you were going to be trated like sh** all day long by your group leader or the mgt. Your right the company lost sight years ago of the employees that made the company for them. When I think of the day they told me to get my stuff and be in the break room, I was a very curious person. Cause as I was walking out the door I noticed that there were many people that still had jobs that got hired in under me and I know most of you would agree. I understand that they did what they had to do, but they did it all the wrong way. I don't blame the employees that still have jobs, cause it's hard tellin if we would have never got layedoff we may still be working there too, but to mgt. they will have there day. For me this is the start of a new beginning...

Lol I heard of this site and I had to check it out myself...Funny, funny question! I personally can't stand the company and I can't wait to hear how much they have to pay out on my behalf... those lying assholes and their "WORTHLESS" HR Reps., what a joke!! I hope the skeleton crew that's left are able to find other jobs... cuz Fleetwood doesn't care about any of you or your loyalty and they will not reward you in any way for staying to the end... Good Luck to those of you there that I care about and the rest of you there can go **ck yourselves!!!!!

Some of this bad treatment to the hourly employees could have been averted if back in 1987 right after the Mayoral Election, the newly elected Mayor at that time caved in ang gave Fleetwood Enterprizes every single thing that they DEMANDED in order for Fleetwood to stay located in Decatur and get the good deal on the US 224 location where their main Decatur Plant is at this time! The (now former) Mayor should have DEMANDED right back to Fleetwood some 'moral treatment' to the hourly employees that are there in exchange for all the incentives including tax breaks that were given by the City of Decatur to Fleetwood! The (now former) Mayor and his Administration should have also had an Economic Development Team in place to bring new large scale industrial jobs to this City so that Fleetwood would not have held the dependency grip on the City of Decatur Economy that it had before this City Depression has collapsed. I certainly have high hopes that the new Mayor, Schultz, will not let our City be held hostage by one Employer any more and that Mayor Schultz will hopefully put together an Economic Development Team of current and former Business Leaders of this City to get a plan to attract more Industrial Growth for our Citizens with many jobs, not just mom and pop type settings. The Citizens of this City can NOT afford to ever be fully dependent one Corporation to make or break our City Economy ever again!

I laugh as I read these comments that have been posted by former Fleetwood associates. I mean get real people Fleetwood didn't want to layoff all of the employees. They did what they had to do because of the economy. I mean watch the news Fleetwood Enterprise isn't the only one who are going through this. I myself am a former employee of Fleetwood motorhomes plant 44 and I understand there reasoning for there layoffs. Now it seems like everyone who has lost there job there is just sue happy now. So for the comment posted by informational on March 16, 2009 about the class action lawsuit. Is that what you want is to get something for nothing. I mean word got out the there were individuals looking into this class action lawsuit and now it seems like everyone who lost their jobs are trying to get into this class action lawsuit just because there wasn't a 60 day notice. Well I can't speak for all the plants but I do know that at Fleetwood Plant 44 there may not have been a 60 day notice but I do know that at every tailgate meeting on Wednesday the group leaders would stress to everyone how inportant it was to watch what you spend because due to the gas prices and the way the economy was looking that you never know what was gonna happen. So when I got layed off I wasn't one of those Fleetwood employees that got all pissed off and said well I'm gonna get them for everything that they are worth cause in my eyes they gave everyone notice for years. Hopefully to the people high up at Fleetwood they will realize that and be able to beat this lawsuit.

Are you serious? OMG duh we all new the economy was bad and so did the company they didn't just come in the day or week before all those mass layoffs and decide to do it.... UMMM it's a LAW that they give 60 day notice I am positive that they new 60 days prior to every one of them!! GM even gave their employees 60 day notice to a 9 week shut down. It's not that people are out to get something for nothing it is our LEGAL right to sue Fleetwood for a wrong that they did...tell me why they have gotten rid of over 1,000 employees at plant 44 alone since beginning of 2008 but there are still the same number of supervisors that still have their jobs there?? Who's a**es are they saving not worried about the little guys that they screwed over!! So you just go ahead sunshine and praise the management there at Fleetwood even though everything they did on these layoffs were not done fairly to the loyal associates there it was all done by who were their favorites... I would bet your opinion is of a minority opinion at that...

Oh Get Real I had an idea!! Since you hold Fleetwood in such high standards and feel for them so I hear that they are paying managers and employees to mow there grass to save the high cost from a professional company... so there ya go go do it for FREE and help 'em out... Maybe they'll call ya back! LMAO

Daily Horoscope for December 10

Leo

Be choosy about who you spend time with today. If you're with someone who's habitually miserable or sorry for themselves, you'll soon be dragged down to their level and will struggle to recover again. However, you may feel such sympathy for their plight that you don't see you have any choice but to be with them. If so, do your best to remain positive.
