Good cop going bad?

As it sounds an Allen County deputy’s wife was arrested in Huntington Indiana for driving drunk. But the story doesn’t stop there. The Fort Wayne husband and other deputies From Allen county call the officers in Huntington County and try to make them drop the charge. I as a tax payer like you would like to ask why has no charges been pressed on the deputies? From what I read the Allen county deputies was more than very rude and some might say there was threatening words used at the officers In Huntington for arresting the Drunk lady. Why is it that the same officers who arrest drunk drivers daily think it is ok for a deputy’s wife to get drunk and drive? Do the officers think they are above the law? Well now the story changed to where the Allen county deputys did nothing wrong and the Huntington officers made up a false report? All i know for sure is we need good cops out there.

No matter how you look at it either the Allen county officers messed up buy trying to bully or get the officers in Huntington County to drop the drunk driving charge against the deputy Stones wife or the Huntington officers made a false report? One side broke the law and it looks to me like the sheriff on both sides wants it to just go away. But what about the deputy was he really driving drunk just not long before his wife was pulled over?

So now comes the question does the officers in Huntington County lie? Or is the sheriff of Huntington County covering up for the misconduct of the Allen county deputies? The lattés news now is

An Allen County Sheriff's Deputy has been cleared of any wrongdoing in the recent drunk driving arrest of his wife, who was pulled over on suspicion of drunk driving.
Huntington County police say Jill Stone's husband, Deputy Steve Stone, tried to change the outcome of the arrest.
A police report also says the jail took several "unfriendly" calls from other Allen County deputies.
But, an investigation by both the Allen and Huntington County Sheriff's Departments determined that those claims were not true. It also determined that Stone did not violate any state law or department policy, nor did he act inappropriately.

Now if this is true than the officers in Hunting County made up a false report and that is against the law. So the Huntington County sheriff needs to look in to why his men and or weman lied on a police report to try to get the Allen county deputies in trouble. One side or the other broke the law. Either the Huntington County officers lied on a police report or the Allen county officers tried to force the Huntington county officers to drop a drunk driving charge? Witch is it?

so now comes the question of who really cares? how many people get DUIs everyday. If you really read into this, which it seems yall have, the articles state she blew an equivelant to a .09. A couple years ago that wouldnt that wouldnt have received a slap on the wrist. Yes she was over the legal limit and will doubtfully drive drunk again, but why does this need to be on the front page of the Journal Gazette and her mug shot shown on the six o'clock news? She gets her sentencing fair and square. If the new information says zero cops called in that night, why cant that be accepted? instead, people with nothing better to do come leave their irrelevant insights on blogs??? are we really gonna treat a middle aged, Indiana woman's DUI as if it was Paris Hilton who got pulled over? This is only a conspiracy becuase HUntingon has nothing better to do with its time. SOmehow her police report was "leaked" to the media because this has become entertainment. It's obvious that the report written was more like a novel than a summary of incidents. It wasnt written to reflect the truth, but to dramatize the situation becuase thats what people like to hear. Isnt this the way any loving husband ask that the officer taking away his wife in hanf cuffs would respond? GOOD JOB HUNTINGTON OFFICERS FOR MAKING BOTH SHERIFF DEPTS LOOK BAD AND VICTIMIZING ONE OF THE THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE WHO GET DUIS EACH YEAR BY HUMILIATING HER IN EVERY NEWS PAPER AND NEWS CHANNEL FOR BLOWING .01 OVER THE NEW LEGAL LIMIT.

I personally don’t think what I was saying was bad about the lady who was arrested as you stated the judge will punish her. I was saying some where one of the departments messed up was it the Fort Wayne deputies? Did they call Huntington and threaten them or intimidate them officers? Or was it Huntington sheriff deputies who made up a crazy lie that the Allen county deputies tried to bully them? In ether case one side messed up true?

There was one cop that called that night simply to see if there was a jill stone in custody. That was all that was asked. It was in the middle of the night and his voice was in monotone. Maybe whoever answered the phone was a little too sensitive on the huntington dept and misinterpreted or maybe they just full out exaggerated. But all of the media points fingers at officer stone, saying he was out of line. How would you react if your wife, or someone you loved was in hand cuffs? This is just my opinion.

i really dont think this deserved any media attention and i feel terrible for the woman and her family. nobody did anything out of the ordinary compared to other DUI arrests. Why humiliate this lady?

Again I will say if any officer used force or intimidation to dissolve this matter than they should be fired and if any officer made up lies about other officers calling and intimidating them YES they should be fired. But ask you’re self and the officer whose wife was arrested if he was drinking and driving a short time before they got busted did he not do what he arrests others for doing? Yes I know a lot more about this than you think I do. And the public does have a right to know when a cop crosses that line. You know as well as I do an officer should be held at a higher standard than you or I. And I can tell by your words that you might just be an officer in Fort Wayne. I am not from neither city so I have no reason to take sides. I did talk to the sheriff in Huntington Indiana and got his side but the sheriff in Fort Wayne would not comment on it. Again this is about did or didn’t an officer break the law Not that ones wife was arrested for drunk driving. You must have never lost your wife and kid to a drunk driver? If you did you would not be playing pity a drunk.

If humiliate is what it takes to keep drunk drivers off our roads then go for it. To many drunks get off with nothing more than a slap on the hand. I say put there picture on every t v station around and the newspaper too. These drunk drivers out there killing people has to be stopped. The wife of a police officer damm sure knows better than to be drinking and driving and if she has kids this is sure some lesson to be teaching them isnt it. I dont feel sorry for any DRUNK.

So, why slaughter one woman who made a very irresponsible choice when there are thousands of arrests in this "neck of the woods" for the same thing (normally blowing higher than she did)?

Isn't that the point of "Lies" comment? She is not a police officer or a public official, so why should she be singled out?

I'm not a police officer, sorry becuase that is obviously the fantasy you had created in your imagination. Maybe you have some issues with the fwpd, i'm not sure... anyways i find it funny that a woman blowing a .09 could be classified as a "DRUNK" Anybody who casually drinks could easily have a blood alcohol content of a .09. A level this low could have quickly dropped to below the legal level of .08 in a matter of half an hour or so. So i find it rude that because this woman was half an hour from legal driving alcohol content (buzzed) you find it fitting to call her a drunk. RUDE. Also, you believe that this taught her family a lesson by publicly humiliating them on the news every time it aired for a week by posting a blown-up picture on the screen? well youre wrong. Do you have children? At a highschool age do you think they'd want everbody seeing their mother's picture on the news getting all of this negative publicity? Highschool is already hard enough. And to say that this is a good lesson for them shows that you lack common sense and if you have kids a feel for them. The lesson learned from a DUI is the thousands of dollars paid in fees and attorneys, not having a license and a possible short jail sentence... not punishing children and a woman who simply made a mistake through humiliation and hateful words.

Shes a police officers wife for Gods sake that is why she should be slaughtered infront of everybody. Hello do you have children? Would you want your childrens lifes to be at stake because of drunks? I have to little girls that i worrie about daily and this storie scares me even more. Knowing that if this woman had killed my kids or someone eles kid she could have walked away with nothing because she is a cops wife! What are you people thinking sticking up for this women she is no better then scum she is scum.
