I mix a box of spice cake mix with a can of pumpkin and a half-cup of water. It makes about 24 cupcakes. Then, you can sprinkle with powdered sugar, or leave plain. Super fast and so delicious!
Which kind of pumpkin are you both using? The plain pumpkin or the can that has other ingredients? Both cakes sound delicious!

I think this thread is just about done, but here's to trying to save it.

The cost of everything goes up this time of year. Pricing out the cost of a pound of chicken or beef, and it's clear. You can buy turkey at my Wal-Mart for about ninety-eight cent a pound, which is a great deal. I bought a 22 pound turkey, and since I'm not worried about presentation, I cooked it with the turkey breast down to keep it from becoming too dry.

The December issue of Prevention has great meals for the leftovers, and they're healthy too. I've already made the turkey chili and will be trying out the turkey enchiladas tomorrow. I figure I can get at least four meals out of this one turkey, and my family likes their turkey. I made the turkey this weekend, and don't have to spend alot of extra time preparing the additional meals during the work week. Hope this can help someone else.

RECIPE FOR A LASTING RELATIONSHIP
First, gather all of the ingredients together, so they are close at hand. Get a clean cloth and wipe the mixing bowl clean of any lingering 'dust' from the past.

Take maturity, respect and friendship, and stir together gently. Add unlimited amounts of compassion and kindness, mix well. To this, add caring by the handfuls, and fold in trust.

Continue stirring gently, adding listening, honesty and large amounts of communication. Slip in some dreams, goals and large pieces of promise keeping.

Bake in a home filled with peace, beauty and serenity. Before you taste the finished product, sprinkle liberally with patience, love and a touch of spice.

Serve very hot, with imagination on the side.

I just buy a turkey breast and put it in a crock pot to cook all night. It turns out very moist and tender. and you have the broth for gravy. I like this much better than getting the whole turky, which usually isnt eated anyhow.

I put some flour and milk into a container with a lid, and i shake this real good. I then use a strainer and pour this into the broth. Let this simmer a few minutes. you will know how thick or thin you like your gravy, so add the milk/flour slowly so it dont thicken too fast. If it appears too lumpy, you can strain it again.

I have not tried the grilled pizza's before, but my family likes what was recommended for a diabetic pizza, it is so simple, you use a soft Taco shell, a small amount of pizza sauce, pepperoni, and top with mazzarella cheese, and place into the oven for just a few min., then place on top rack to boil,to melt cheese. Even my 7 year old likes these, and they are healthy. I just finished reading the book" No Greater Love" by: Danielle Steel it was really good, it was about a family the survived the sinking of the Titanic, I couldn't bring myself to watch the movie, couldn't stand to see those people drowning, but this book was really good!!!!
