Or should I say "who's the thief that got caught".I know that it's probably pretty hard for our city administrator to manage three personal businesses and keep up with whats happening at city hall.

The rumor that I heard is that the state Comptroller and the TBI will be conducting an extensive investigation that may go back to the Stewart administration. Zip ties work well if they run out of handcuffs. I heard that the city hired a convicted felon to work at City Hall. This is a serious lapse of judgement in my opinion. I understand that it was questioned but those questions were ignored. Why would they want such a person to work in the local government? Interesting question. We may get some answers.

I heard that it was someone that had not worked in a few months. As for the convicted felon, was that person given the chance to be around the money? I believe all of them should have to take a lie detector test. There is more to this story than is being told.

I think it would be easy to just blame things on a convicted felon. That very well be what the people at city hall try to pull.

It will be covered up like everything else is. I heard it was the person with a felon and another one that retired recently.

I think most folks know the two names. I have heard rumors - and I don't know if they are true - about two sets of books at City Hall and inappropriate disbursement of funds. The rumors centered around one of the two people allegedly involved in this incident and go back through the terms of the previous administration. In my opinion this needs a most thorough investigation, and, if proven, needs to result in jail time for those involved and for those that had knowledge but did not stop the wrongdoing. The citizens of this city deserve and should demand better.

You would think that the citizens have a right to know what is going on; it is obvious that those in positions of authority want to keep us in the dark. Vote'em all out!!!!

I guess we know now who the thief was. Faye Morrow was arrested today. I guess she wasn't the person she tried to be.

This was posted on Facebook by THE HERALD CHRONICLE
The Herald Chronicle Former Winchester Finance Director Indicted On Multiple Offenses Chattanooga, Tenn.– The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation today arrested the former finance director for the City of Winchester after she was indicted by the Franklin County grand jury yesterday on theft, forgery and misconduct charges. Mary Faye Morrow, 63, of Huntland, Tenn. was charged with theft over $60,000, two counts of official misconduct, forgery and tampering with government records. Morrow left the finance director position in July of 2010, but remained working in the office until the end of that year. The finance director who replaced Morrow took note of the amount of money coming into the system and the District Attorney General requested TBI open a case on missing funds in July of 2011. The comptroller’s office conducted an audit as part of the investigation. Morrow was booked into the Franklin County Jail and posted a $10,000 bond.

Wait until this canary starts singing. Looks like Tommy Cohenour was right again. maybe he should be interviewed he could tell us all what city hall is like. look what they did to him, he was acquitted of all when he was terminated by Faye Morrow and Beth Rhoton. he never got his job back which was in violation of the city charter. They attempted to have him killed

What these new aldermen and their new administrator are doing will, in most likelyhood, find a spot on Nashville news stations very soon, too. How in the world did little FC get to a point where business is conducted this way in and about our several municipalities ? I was in Sav-a-lot this evening when seeing a young man wearing a Decherd FD T-shirt. I introduced myself, shook his hand and thanked him for taking the time to TRAIN as a volunteer fireman while serving our community. He was shocked that I thanked him for his service to my city. The nice young man said "most people here don't like us volunteers and say we are a waste of time and money." Needless to say, it broke my heart to hear his words.
