As an Englishman who has spent wonderful holidays in your city, and has some great friends living in New Orleans, this is the best news I have heard for a long time. Good Luck to you all.

Dixie along with Jax and several other breweries brewed beer in New Orleans for well over 100 years. There are still several micro-breweries in the city. If you read the article the reason for the delay in return was not just from the first hurricane in those over 100 years to flood the brewery but because the brewery was vandalized and the owners want to modernize. Basically Dixie needs to catch up to Abita Brewery which is all modern and capable of producing fine beers. Historically New Orleans had several major breweries until Budwiser became the King.
