Who says Mormons aren't Christians?

Mormons are NOT Christians.

THe Mormons own scripture says they aren't Christian, but instead a hold over of a white supremacy cult...

Moses 7:8 "a blackness came upon all the children of Canaan...."

Moses 7:12 "Enoch continued to call upon all the people, save it were [i.e., except] the people of Canaan, to repent...."

Moses 7:22 ".for the seed of Cain were black and had not place among them."

Abraham 1:21 " king of Egypt [Pharaoh] was a descendant from the loins of Ham, and was a partaker of the blood of the Canaanites by birth."

Abraham 1:27 "Pharaoh being of that lineage by which he could not have the right of Priesthood...." (emphasis added to above citations).

Jacob 3:5 (Lamanites cursed) "whom ye hate because of their filthiness and the cursing which hath come upon their skins...."

Jacob 3:8-9 "their skins will be whiter than yours... revile no more against them because of the darkness of their skins...."

Alma 3:6 "And the skins of the Lamanites were dark, according to the mark which was set upon their fathers, which was a curse upon them because of their transgression and their rebellion."

Alma 3:9 "whosoever did mingle his seed with that of the Lamanites did bring the same curse upon his seed."

Alma 3:14 (Lamanites cursed) "set a mark on them that they and their seed may be separated from thee and thy seed...."

Alma 23:18 "[Lamanites] did open a correspondence with them [Nephites] and the curse of God did no more follow them."

3 Nephi 2:14-16 "Lamanites who had united with the Nephites were numbered among the Nephites; And their curse was taken from them, and their skin became white like unto the Nephites and ... became exceedingly fair.... "

3 Nephi 19:25, 30 (Disciples) "they were as white as the countenance and also the garments of Jesus; and behold the whiteness thereof did exceed all the whiteness.... nothing upon earth so white as the whiteness thereof… and behold they were white, even as Jesus."

Mormon 5:15 (prophecy about the Lamanites) "for this people shall be scattered, and shall become a dark, a filthy, and a loathsome people, beyond the description of that which ever hath been amongst us...."

No this isn't metaphor. No Moses nor Abraham... they did not write this.

The scripture you speak of means do not add or subtract from the current writings so as to change the meaning. Unfortunately, that has been done to the Bible many times. Which brings me to the question: which of the literally hundreds of versions of the Bible is the REAL Bible? Is it the one that okays homosexual relations? Or the one that states that you must pay the church money to absolve your sins? There is no original text of the Bible, so there is no way to know for sure which one is truly the word of God. That is where the Book of Mormon comes in. It validates the teachings in the Bible and clarifies what the Bible is saying by providing another testament of Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God, not Michael the Archangel. I do not know where you got your information, but your supposed knowledge of the Mormon religion is seriously flawed. For accurate information on what the LDS, or Mormon, religion, go to www.mormon.org .

I went to that site. They try to explain these passages and try to twist things around. EVERY Mormon prophet had followed the racist tirades against blacks, then in the past 10 to 12 years or so they say it was all a "metaphor".

JOseph Smith did not fight for equality. He halfway did when it was politically expedient. He then fought AGAINST equality.

And look at you at the end, BlackLDS is not an official site. WHY NOT? Why do you even need to say that?

This is NOT Christianity. THis is not what Moses or Jesus taught. Mormonism claims to have "restored" the truth that was lost in the gospels. One of the differences between Christianity and Mormonism is that Christianity doesn't HAVE these racist passages in the Bible.

Oh Black LDS tries to explain how nice Joseph Smith was, but the issue here is Smith had the stupidity to say that Moses and Abraham wrote these things about black people. SOMEONE was banned. You say not blacks? THen Egyptians then? They weren't banned either. Someone was not allowed to hold the priesthood according to Mormonism. But we all know that was a lie.

No one is distorting anything. You do not have an answer to walk the racism back from. And you got caught and your church cannot change history.

No it's not. It's a form of modernity with the elaborately designed propaganda and presentation. It is very structured like a late 20th century evangelical church and a very suburban American institution. It is nothing like the "primitivism" of Christianity., THey are nothing like the Puritans.

Not so. Deuturonomy was not written by some guy that had no priesthood connection to Moses and Aaron.

Smith proclaimed HIMSELF to be somehow related to the pristhood and thus justified.

He is not.

Now, which one do you ask? Well guess what, your Mormon adulturation only adds to the confusion.

Mormonism says Elohim is the name of God the Father, and Yahweh is the name of God the Son.(This is NOT Christian).

Mormonism teaches that there is a Heavenly Mother that, through some celestial union, generates all the Spirit children which have bodies like we do now.

It isn't important what your religious prejudices are. They follow Jesus. They're no worse then the papists Mary worship. and I've always found a way to fellowship with them just by avoiding doctrine. They are kindred spirits and you can feel it. You don't have to wish them God speed but you don't need to hate them either.

It is important, because they do not follow Jesus. They follow a man that they say was a white man from a planet called Kolob. I do not subscribe to "papists Mary worship" and I don't know any Catholics that do either.

For too many decades and centuries, prejudice against black people has been swept under the rug as "no big deal". It is a big deal. It's like Nazis hating Jews. When Obama was going to his church, everyone condemned him for partipating with Jeremiah Wright's own religious viewpoint. Yet that is far LESS racist than Mormon doctrine. That was not considered "ok" though. Now you sit here and try to say that the Mormon doctrine is ok to tolerate?

The mormons that came to my house, in suits on bicycles, when asked said, "Yes, we believe in Jesus. We believe He was a great prophet." Well, Christians believe He was God incarnate, that He came to earth born of a virgin birth, lead a sinless life and died as the perfect sacrifice to atone for our sins. Thats because the mentioning of a "name' is not what determines if it's "Christian". The teachings and the accuracy of the events are.

All those other groups do not use another set of scriptures to "correct" the Bible. They do not invent some doctrine that comes out of thin air and pretends it's a restoration.

Mormonism is like Islam, and thus, you can call Islam a branch of Christianity if you want to call Mormonism Christian.

What is so wrong and sick is how this hateful rhetoric against black people is looked at as "no big deal". But if it were against whites it would be a big deal.

I am so tired of his lying game where people look at racist prejudice against black people as "not the main point of religious doctrine".
