Hey people if you wanna grow and smoke dope move to a different town. Nobody is telling you that you cant smoke or grow it they are just saying not in this town.. KOODOOS to the City Council, I don't want the crap in my town either. Red Bluff should be a safe and peacefull place to live and raise kids. I am not ignorant in the fact that I believe pot is way better for you then prescription drugs but seriously there is other very natural and healthy things you can do for yourself. I was a person that was in pain for 15 yrs serious pain that hospitalized me at times and I have found many other ways to deal with my situation other then living on drugs the rest of my life. Smoke and gow in another town.... I love all the LAW SUIT talk WHAT A JOKE PEOPLE, get a life.

Thankyou and my compliment to the red bluff city council for making the right and legal decision in banning marijuana within their city limits. Now if we can get the whole county and corning to follow suit we law abiding citizens can breath a breath of fresh air.

Fresh Air??? Are none of you listening to anything. Safe and Peaceful place to live. Get real people. Drug cartels, illegal distribution. I would much rather live in a place where it is legal and you can take hikes in the mountains without fearing running into a illegal garden and who knows what else. Oh maybe guns, and pissed off tenders. By all means lets continue to make criminals out of our friends and family who suffer and would rather not have to take perscriptions and be a zombie. What is wrong with you people. Stay away from the collectives if you are afraid of them. Your next door neighbor might be one of the biggest dealers in this county. Be afraid b very afraid. Your rights are being stripped little by little. My mother in law has cancer and has lost so much weight due to nausea. Nothing they did helped. THC and a little pot now and again. She prefers the THC pills, and she has put about 12 pounds back on and can actually hold something on her stomach. So you are saying let her suffer. On your knees in front of your maker one of these days people.

Ignorance has won the battle, but after reading Prop.215 and SB420 it appears it is going to loose the war. And at quite a cost in tax dollars, as well as a lot of red faces. The utter ignorance of our city council is amazing.

The THC pills are different. They are better because no one has to smell them. My dad had to take them and it was better than smelling the stinky weed. God bless your mother in law I will pray for her.

you have bar in Red Bluff. do you know what a pot bar would be like? Very quiet with lot's of profits racked up by the snack bar. To say nothing of the fact that medical patients find it a more effective medicine that big pharma pain killers.

ThC just doesn't work with some poeple. Think of a can of green beans, compared to some fresh ones from your garden. Which ones will be better for you and taste better? I aggree, weed can be stinky, but so can beer, whiskey, cigarettes, perfume, aftershave, cars, skunks and farts. If I don't like the smell, I try to stay away for the offending odor.

This is one of the most absurd things I have ever read. How does this so called 'council' justify going against state law? If Red Bluff is having a budget crisis now, just wait till they lose all of the lawsuits - as they should.

I watched my husband die slowly of cancer and without LEGAL and medicinal cannabis, he would have starved to death much earlier. It was the only thing that gave him an appetite, controled the bad side effects of chemo and gave him some quailty of life.
If those four narrow minded city council members had been through what I have, no way they would be so narrow minded, ill-informed, clueless, heartless and just plain stupid. God forbid it happens to them and they need MEDICINE they can't get - because THEY banned it! And no, I do not use it in any way, but I have witnessed firsthand it's beneficial medicinal properties for those who need it.

My heart goes out to you. I am living with a man who did hard labor for 15 years and then towing for the next ten. He is heart broken that he can no longer do what he loves, but the back pain caused from years of working his butt off and now finding out his spine is fusing together due to spurs and growths has caused him days where he couldn't get out of bed. Well, until medical marijuana was introduced. He now is able to have a shadow of the life he had, but at least he has something. He does not grow it and he does go legally to the collectives and legally buys what he needs....not any to sell or distribute to his "stoner" friends. He is happier now that he cab help out with the little things around the home and doesn't feel like a loser or a burden since he is unable to work. This is what pot has done for us......as for other alternatives, he was on oxy-cotin for awhile. After about a month, he put a gun to his head for release from the massive depression that over-whelmed him. Thank god, he went to a rehab and received help vs. pulling the trigger. Don't stereo-type, get to know people first....

I have lived here all my life. I don't plan on leaving and I know many people feel the same way.

This needs to be taken off the streets. That is the only problem. The more non-violent places that supply the better. weather dispensary, pharmacy, or in your convince store the only way to solve the problem of violence, and crime is to bring cannabis to a safe place, and drive the price down so there is no motive for crime. I can't wait to see the propositions for legalization on 2010's voting ballot.

lets free up our police, our prisons, our courts, tax the profit, and make this a safer place.

It's a start. Hey ggh and karma, just wondering something, my sister in-law had a molar preg. and had chemo treatment as well, she took vicodin for pain and stuff, got hooked on the crap and still is. So does that help your argument? And Robert in L.M., you seem surprised to find that your vote doesn't count, don't tell me this is the first time you noticed that right? Just another example that the government sucks, doesn't matter if it's your local county, state or federal.
