What about all the pictures of kids holding beers I've seen? We should take those kids from their parents, for providing alcohol to minors.

Okay, this was not the smartest move on the parents part but I seriously doubt there was pot in the pipe. They did it to be funny and cute, which it's not, but young people see things a lot differently than we older people do. I do not think they should lose their kid or be placed under that high of a bond for a stupid joke! CPS and the police are taking things waaaaay out of proportion these days just so CPS can snatch and sell more kids. The mom needs classes, not lose her kid.

Spade her: The story did say there was pot in the pipe. I did the math on her, lets see. She's 19 the baby is 2 that made her 17 when she had the child and take away 9 months making her what, 16 give or take when she conceived! Where's the father all this time? I do not care much for CPS but I really hate trash, this is where a lot of our tax money goes to, taking care of trash. and by the time she is 25 she will have 2 or 3 more.

Maybe you didn't read the article, the pipe was filled with pot, part of the problem here is that there is an illegal drug in the presence of a child, and anytime you introduce a child to something, curiosity and familiarity can influence children to explore those things..ingesting it etc. CPS will give her every opportunity to "learn" how to be a better parent...I know people who do foster care,I have seen kids returned to parents I wouldn't trust,so this is not about stealing kids from "victim" parents.

All the more reason for us to legalize it. Then we can tax it and get some of our money back.

of course there is alot of wrong here...however you seemed to be more concerned about your tax dollars than the sick mother and her baby...and what's up with this trash talk and all the hate...

I'm a bit surprised by you Mr. C....you are replying to a post that begins with the suggestion to "spade her"...and then the hate and the calling her trash....and then you second his concern about your tax dollars...this mother is obviously not suited for motherhood right now...she needs help...and that help could come from areas( church) that wouldn't use your tax dollars...when I saw this story I was saddened...when I saw this post i was sickened...under God's eyes we are all the same....

We might be all the same, that would be sinners actually, but some of us do it a little more than others. To try to lay a hang up like that on someone is just wrong. I don't give a damn about tax dollars, I pay mine and understand that my opinion in the way they are spent does not matter. But let's not forget about the main topic at hand, this piece of trash gave pot to a baby, it doesn't matter what her intention was either, either way it was wrong.

So there was pot in the pipe, it's not like the kid has a lighter. People take pictures of there kids holding & even shooting guns all time.

Pot: has never killed anyone ever.
Guns: have you seen the news this week?

Wow what a bunch of judgmental "christians" and I do use that term loosely. You guys are hypocrites. Like you have never done some stupid stunt in your pure lives. I am not saying what that mother did was right nor do I think it is funny when people put alcohol or guns in their kids hands. I have seen fathers putting their 3 yr old boys on little motorcycles. Is that smart? I don't think so but I don't think they should lose their kids or imprisoned either. I do think they need some parenting classes. To answer why none of the medical marijuana advocates are standing up and defending her, what she did was wrong. Medical marijuana patients do not think it is "cool" to give their children drugs or take pictures of their children with paraphernalia. They consider marijuana as medicine. As such would not give their children any of their prescription medications like pain killers, antidepressants, etc.

Just one more reason that marijuana is illegal. It makes people do stupid things that they think are funny. Well, the best thing for those kids are that they are placed in a foster home. At least there they might have a chance. With this young girl as their mom, they don't stand a chance.

You potheads that think pot has never killed anyone tell that to the momma who rolled her pickup and ejected 4 kids who were riding in the bed of it. She was spaced out during the investigation from guess what. Pot. So don't ever say pot has never killed someone. The kids all died. This occurred in the 70's in the southern part of this state.

Sweet Lee, I love it when people make good points. But don't worry, these potheads won't take that into perspective, it's damaging to their cause.

Hey Jeff, ever smoke pot before? If so then you know you don't have to light it every time right?
