Obamas' real life part of carefully crafted strategic plan

Full story: Chicago Tribune

In the short time Americans have come to know their new first family, they've learned that the president doesn't want a puppy sleeping on his bed, the girls hate green veggies but at least one loves peanut butter, and the first lady believes her husband should keep out of her closet.

The left wing media is promoting this superficial popularity image. Michelle Obama is suppose to look like a fashion model and have an IQ equivalent to Einstein. Her daughters likewise are cast as model children and deemed to be written up in all of the progressive psychological studies about how good mommies raise perfect children. Of Course Barack is just Superstar Hero Man loved by everyone in the whole world. And poor Bo, the dog, is only a political ploy and not one of the Obamas can relate to an animal of any kind. But really what have the Obamas accomplished??? The answer is absolutely Nothing! I guess it's best to distract the unsuspecting public with this hero worship nonsense! That way the public won't have time to figure out what's really happening to America!

You gotta be kidding.

The Obamas struck a deal with celebrity news that in return for access, celebrity news outlets must refuse to publish unauthorized pictures — or risk being cut off by the White House.

Can you imagine the media's outcry if the Bush adminstration had this kind of deal?

Obama's propaganda machine has really snookered the American Idol crowd.

If this is what the Obama adinistration is doing with the coverage of the 1st family -What kind of deals have they made with the main stream press corp.

Play softball on the real issues or get cut off? I guess this is the new freedom of press

As painful as it is for me to say this, the Obama’s are artfully managing the media. The truly sad and telling point is the media is a willing and active partner in it. Just like sex and violence, Obama sells and it’s all about ratings, advertising revenues, and, that often maligned by liberals concept, corporate profits. Let us all hope that sooner rather than later the public wakes up to this sham and realizes no matter how much lipstick you put on them his programs are socialist style solutions resulting in huge growth in government and more taxes for all to pay the bills.

"Obamas' real life part of carefully crafted strategic plan"

YEA... NO SHIA SHERLOCK

And you gotta like this line too...

Since November, American magazine readers have seen a steady stream of coverage lionizing the Obamas and their marriage —

JUST SINCE NOVEMBER...?
Please spare me Chicago Tribune.

Anybody who's paid attention knows the media slobbering over this man and his wife started long before he won the White House.

And the bias has been so thick you could spread it on a sandwich...

These two US Weekly covers epitomize the type of coverage the public was spoon fed leading up to the election:

Obama issue: Why Barack loves her
Palin issue: Babies Lies + Scandal

So please spare us the BS Chicago Tribune.
We're getting pretty sick of it already.

Will the Tribune still be permitted to print pictures of the Obamas after this story?

Between this story, and the one further back showing how bad Obama's plan is for the economy, I have to wonder if Zell removed the free kool-aid as a cost cutting measure.

Keep telling the truth, Trib, and you'll see your readers come back.

We have every right to demand more honest answers from our president on policy matters, and no right to demand depictions of his children.
They are doing a brilliant job of getting more information out there about policy and taking more questions from the public,
while decreasing unflattering pics/intrusions into their private lives by allowing a fair amount of completely controlled access.

Obama= fake. Like Hollywood.

Everybody in Crook County (where Obama comes from) except the blind, worshiping liberals and the racists have known this.

History will bear this out.

When one is totally lacking in substance, one must make it up in fluff.

Since the pre-election media had decided that experience and ability were not necessary commodities for running the largest enterprise in the world, it is now cover up time. They are scrambling to fill in the voids in his leadership and management short-comings with nice fluffy stories.

In reality, the millions of people that have lost their jobs since the election don't give a damn about our relationship with Chavez. The tens of thousands that have lost their homes don't give a damn about Iranian Clerics or our relationship with Turkey.

We have real problems in this country, blaming someone else for where we are is a media invention to defer the responsibility. Unfortunatly, the current administration is now believing their own press. It is the sign of weak leadership and of weak government.

Keep up the fluff. There are still a percentage of people that voted for this clown and still think he's doing a good job. These fluff pieces are all that they have left to cling to.

Wow, such jealousy, hatred and misguided bigotry on this thread. Bush did, indeed, get a lot of coverage, but he wasn't interested in the media the way the Obama's are. This is part of politics. No one cares if you don't like it. The more name calling you all do, the more your hatred will grow. So, our President is a 'clown' you say? How would you categorize our previous president - oh, yeah, circus ringleader! Obama is neither weak, nor phoney. You are grasping at straws in the hope you can convince yourself your hatred is valid.

The fact is, Obama was elected President, just like your 'guy' Bush was, and you are not going to change that just because you don't like a Black man in the White House.

Actually, they don't sell all that well partly because they are still over-exposed. The mainstream media are so biased in favor of The One that they would cover him even if it brought in no revenue.

The American people aren't completely stupid. I truly think the bias has hastened the downfall of traditional media.

The refreshing thing about the above comments is that they prove many of us refrained from drinking the Kool Aid. If possible, Obama is more of a phony than Clinton. The man is nothing but an empty suit. Too bad our first black president has to be such a disaster for America.
