I heard about Adam's death through my parents, who were missionaries in Madrid at the same time his parents were also in Spain. I wanted to tell his parents I am so sorry for their loss... He was a very special person to me, and though we hadn't spoken in years I will miss him deeply.

Surviving the void
Adam McVay seemed ready to conquer the world. At 23, he was on track to graduate in May with an art degree from Louisiana College in Pineville.

I lived with Adam for almost a year at Louisiana College. We talked for hours and hours about life, God, art, and music. He is one of the few people that I felt a connection. Long story short, Adam is and will always be my friend.

I was so shocked to hear from my parents of Adam's death. I still remember him running around the house in his diapers when his dad was in seminary in New Orleans.
I am still reminded that life has its harsh realities, even for those with a relationship with Jesus Christ. Adam continues to be missed. There is comfort, though, to know that we will meet again! Forever Cousins! Forever Brothers in Christ! mroyal@royalones.com |
