Ohio may not have casinos but they'll reap the income tax from the big winner's jackpot!

Taxes only go to the Feds; he doesn't pay local and state tax. At least from my sister winning in Vegas last fall, that's the only one she had to pay.
Ohio loses, Kevin wins - Congrats on the payola from the CA$H-ola.

Congratulations--you deserve every penny you win--Ohio is such a backward state that they can't see the forest for the trees. Just think of all the monies that could be coming to our state--oh no--we have to spend our money in our neighboring states. Good for you Kevin--like something wicked said--you only pay Federal taxes.

Congrats to Kevin....now, go back to West Virginia and spend your winnings. Ohio obviously doesn't want you to spend that money here....since it's evil.

Be sure to give to charities in West Virginia. Ohio has made it clear that they don't want support.

Heck, if I were you, I might just sell my house and move to West Virginia. At least you can live your own life without being under the thumb of Ohio's Bible-thumpers.

Woah...no one ever said that all Christians are bad. I'm Christian myself, actually.

However, there are right-wing extremist Christians who think anyone exercising free will is committing a sin, and who impose their will on others. These people run rampant in Ohio, and as a result, we're living in a state where no one can make his/her own choices about gambling, smoking, spending, hobbies, etc... anymore. The right-wing extremists who believe that Ohio is for Christians and Senior Citizens alone, to relax in total silence without any temptation, are those that are stopping business in Ohio and driving the young away.

I never said Christians as a whole are bad. I said that Bible-thumpers obviously wouldn't want Ohio to benefit from this man's lucky winnings. They don't appreciate 'his kind' or his entertainment in this state, they shouldn't reap any benefit from his winnings.

I guarantee you, though...if the winner is a church-going man, they'll be the first to try to put their hands in his pockets.

That's for certain.

However, don't think that its all the right wingers who are ban crazy.

Plenty of lefty-libs are behind these bans..."for the greater good"...of their wallets.
