California Proposition 8 Results Map (KCRA 3 Sacramento)
http://www.kcra.com/california-proposition-8/...

Yes on 8 passed everywhere in California except the Bay Area (excluding Solano County) and Santa Barbara County. Even Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego Counties passed Prop 8. What this does is confirms everyone's suspicion... that this is nothing but a Bay Area/Castro District issue that had to be defeated. Gavin Newsom officially has no future now beyond being Mayor of San Francisco as he is forever going to be known as the man responsible for promoting the gay lifestyle.

WRONG! The only reason this nonsense passed was deceitful propaganda, and the gay community shall overcome.

The people voted in one of the largest turnouts ever. You blame propaganda. I disagree! The people voted and knew what they were voting on and why. You disagree with the outcome, but don't make excuses.

You can bet the farm that we will use every excuse in the book to legalize gay marriage again. My RIGHT to marry was never taken away, I can still marry but it has to be someone the opposite sex and at legal age. See? We are sore loosers. We can't stand loosing in fair matches. Fellow gays will be out there yelling and whinning like sore loosers because the greater people of california can't accept us. that's all it is really. We really don't need to get marry. It's just a complexity of labelling ourselves like a racial minority who can't get what we want. have pity on us! We are good rationalizers.

Well you think that voting for a DEMOCRAT would give us the rights to get married whether that state votes or not. It upsets me. I have been planning for 4 years to go to California for my career and get married as well, looks as if many Gay American's just get hurt, for being who they are. YOU KNOW...WE'RE NOT ANY DIFFERENT FROM THE REST OF THE WORLD.

Too bad the sheep of CT voted against the convention. Then we could vote on issues like this instead of letting judges decide.

HOW CAN YOU SAY WRITE SOMETHING SO WRONG ON SO MANY LEVELS??!! I PRAY THAT YOU DON'T HAVE ANY CHILDREN TO PASS THIS TYPE OF HATE AND IGNORANCE ON TO ... AND JUST SO I'M CLEAR, I AM NOT GAY BUT I AM TOLERANT - YOU OUGHT TO TRY IT SOMETIME!!
As repugnant these people are they need to be heard. If more people heard their words the more people would be ashamed of being associated with them.

We've come a long way and people that say things like this poster are either children trying to get attention or they are sick perverted people who are only interested in themselves. Their ugliness should be displayed for all the 'normal' thinking people to see.

Thanks for being honest . I think in our democracy we have forgotten majority wins. In this case the majority was against same-sex marriage. It's that simple.

This is so wrong. For the first time in our history, the constitution was used to take rights away. Regardless of how our forefathers might have felt about the issue, this is an abuse of power and simply passed because the Evangelical right raised enough money to spread their fear and hatred through lies.

"The people" should be allowed to decide how their tax dollars are spent, and to vote on other such civic issues. They should not be allowed to decide how their fellow citizens conduct their personal lives. How would you feel if we took a vote to decide whether or not YOU could get married??

I'm glad you agree with this process. I think we should vote on all social issues. Such as divorce, adultery and teen pregnancy. And get rid of social security welfare and medicare.. Why is it my responsibility to pay for someone too lazy to take care of themselves or someone too stupid to plan for their future.

no it's not the first time. Texas did it, Arizona did it, Florida did it, several sates have done it. But you're right. Gay folks should get a discount on taxes. They pay the same tax as stright folks and can't use the system to its fullest!

You don't have to be gay - straight people do this all the time. Gay people only want to marry for love, not to take advantage of the system.
BS..........that is an absolute lie, shame on you..........they want to marry so they can A) flaunt their gayness in front of others and B) so they can enjoy the insurance benes that go with a man/womnan marriage....I have no doubt that love is involved but that is not the real reason for if it were for love only, then you would just get a "civil union" and be done with it...no, not buying your thinking one bit...but...I do defend your right to write your opinion.

I'm sorry... "allowed to survive".... I didn't know that we "allowed" any human to survive. Geez budddy.
Common Sense wrote:

Your last sentence show's your ignorance. You are different. The only reason gays are allowed to survive, is because humans have feelings like compassion, and higher brain functions etc.... Show me one other mammal or creature on this planet that has gay members..... you cant because there are none, and if there happens to be, we never see it because they are not allowed to survive. It goes against evolution. If you cant procreate, there's no use for you. That makes homosexuals freaks of nature.
Before you all blow a gasket, I have friends that are homosexual. While I dont accept gay marriage, I'm not a homophobe either. I just get tired of hearing "were the same" all the time.
