Carl Hilton and his sycophants just won't go away, will they?

If you want your municipal taxes doubled and Cornwall Boro to pursue over $500k in additional loans, then by all means, do cast a write in vote for the failed leadership of Carl Hilton. If you desire fiscal responsibility, then you have better choices already on the ballot.

Anyone who lives in Cornwall and does NOT vote for Carl Hilton has no idea of what the Thomas boys- Mark and Mike will do to our once peaceful community. Do yourselves a favor- look at the names who signed the letter that went out this week- there are some big names of very important people in Cornwall who agree.
Does anyone know, have either of the Thomas boys even cared enough to come to a council meeting since the primary? Check it out and question their motives.

To Doubt the Thomas boys. For starters, get a clue and post with your real name. If you had ever attended a Boro Council Meeting you would know that Mark and Mike are already citizen participants in the local government process. Both express informed intentions of enacting fiscal responsibility once in office. Fact is that Carl Hilton was not selected by the voters during the primary and now intends to weasel his way back into office where he will continue to take us to "distressed municipality" status.
As to the "Letter", I agree, take another look at the names, and you will see the "very important people" (in their own minds!) that signed it are the very ones that have bullied the community down a cloudy path of fiscal irresponsibility now leading to excessive loan burdens and considerable tax inreases.

I agree that the borough of Cornwall will face some serious issues in the coming years.
To say that they had years of "prudent management" regarding the EIT issue. OH PLEASE! If it wasn't for the imcompetence of the borough manager and mismangement of monies, the overpayment from the EIT would have been caught THE FIRST YEAR. Council should have voted in the executive session to remove Danz from the position and hired someone who can do the job.
As far as the "prudent management" on behalf of Council what did they really do to cut the budget? Being $400,000.00 under paid and still owing the EIT $1.2 million? They laid off one police officer to save $60,000.00, didn't hire any summer help for the highway crew, and voted to have the County handle the taxes saving a whopping $4,000.00.
Carl Hilton stated that they do not intend to lay off any more officers, since they wouldn't be able to provide services to the Borough, West Cornwall Township and Mt. Gretna. This just isn't true. When the Borough was contracted to provide services to WCtwp and Mt. Gretna there were only 5 full-time officers employed, this included the Chief and a sargeant and they were a 24/7 department. Now, there are a total of 9 officers working to cover the same areas.
The Borough doesn't need the new developments with the waterpark/hotel etc. to deface our historical sites.
We need to elect "The Thomas Boys" As Bob Thomas so very well stated, "...express informed intentions of enacting fiscal responsibility..."
They have my votes.

Pretty Sad...that makes no sense. The first comment was of no substance whatsoever...nor was your comment. I also didn't take Doubt the Thomas Boys as making a comment to "go against me." The poster was referring to the Thomas brothers. We share a last name but I'm not related to them. Are you sure you're old enough to post here? Now go back to WoW and your 96 oz of Mtn Dew.

Daily Horoscope for January 8

Sagittarius

You'll feel friendly with everyone you meet today, and you might even be lucky financially. Money should be coming in, but going out rather fast as well... Astral influences will keep you on your toes, and will probably make you flirtatious, but they could also make you moody. This makes it tricky for close relationships to run on an even keel. The truth is, perhaps you don't want too much closeness at the moment. Your partner probably knows that you're often like this, by now, anyway.
