will,I agree with papadad. I think they need to fire all the city and county cops. Then go to the acadamey and get new ones that don't know anything about corning. maybe then we could get the right kind of law in our town.

That would work and sounds good, but within a few weeks they'd hear who's got the right names, and the most money...or the hottest teenage daughter and it'd be back to the same. But, hey that is a nice thought though.

Why not just make them accountable for their actions?

When they screw up, write them up.
Suspend them, without pay, for their actions.

Make the department accountable.

Make the Chief accountable.

Make the Mayor and the Council people accountable for how the City is run.

It just like any business, if they are NOT doing their jobs. Go through the discipline process and FIRE them and replace them.

Make them examples and clean up the department and the town.

jamie doesnt even do his job. if you get your house broken into he just trys to pawn it off on someone else because he cant do his job

with what corning pays we will never have people in there.they can't do thier job the way they are suppose to because the chief won't let them.he tells you who to arrest and who to leave alone

I was in line at the gas station on the corner and he cut right in front of me. Acted like I wasn't even standing there. That is so rude and no reason to be that way. I have respect for any law enforcement officier but not one who thinks they are better than everyone else because they have a badge on.

to us the only good cop in corning is jim besson at least he is not afraid to arrest you if you do something wrong and will he confornt you also all the others will hide behind a tree or something if something will come up.Jim should be our chief maybe then we could get something done.instead we pay jim earl to sit on his ass. i am worndering if we pick the right mayor after all and blake johnson all he wants to do is rais taxes on you. they don't think about all the people that have to live on 4 to 5 hundreds dollars a month.

AMEN...This is one of the truest statment I`ve read in a longtime.

hell all the cops are the same... they just cover their tracks better.. hell everybody needs to look inside their closet doors befor they go running people down

criminals will never like cops. If you want to be on the good side of the cops, be on the right side of the law. They aren't perfect, since they are only men and women, but everyone with any sense knows that those personally bashing the officers are angry because either they or their family members have been on "the wrong side" of the law.

Not true. I have never been on "the wrong side" of the law and neither has my family. I come from a very well known family who have respect for the law but not for one who thinks he is better than the law.

Actually...you don't have to be on the wrong side of the law to be on the bad side of the cops.

If the cop is straight up, he can get along with everyone. If they are doing something that they know is "technically" not within their ability or inappropriate for a person in the position and you see it or you call them on it....you are on their bad side (even if you are a law abiding citizen).

I thought we was heading in the right direction, but, I believe that some changes to our city council need to be thought about. Just like closing down a city street, who are you? Well I dont like traffic on my street and it would be convenient to my children to shut it down.......yeah wouldnt fly huh. Blake is not looking out for the city and I am ashamed I voted for him. The police dept should be entirely went through, and rid of all bad seeds. Yep all of them Jamie is not your only bad seed and anything he does is enabled by another

Jamie is a good cop..He can't help it if Corning is filled with a bunch of interbred Richard Head's..
