Lawsuit filed against Perry County Schools superintendent John Paul Amis

Hasn't Mr. Amis embarrassed himself enough? He really should go ahead and resign and take John Pumpkin Combs with him. Put respectability back into our school system. Even the president has only 8 years to make a mess of things. Mr. Amis has had plenty of time to be superintendent. Give it up. Nobody wants him!!!

sounds like truthful is that ex board member that keeps trying to get John Paul in trouble and keeps raising a ruckus...you can make accusations all day long, but if you have no proof to back it up you only look like a fool...

For the intrest of the children he should step aside! To much contraversey in this mans game,Not good for the well being of the children and there education,This kind of publisity is causing the students to loose confidence in the perry county school system and you just watch the grades drop,In all respect to the children of perry county these people should give there resignation now and stop this shit.

What a strange example the "adults" in Perry county are being for our young people in Perry county.

with all that has gone on up at that Board of education you would think someone somewhere would get rid of pumpkin, amos and the rest of them. who could list examples (someone should, I 'll start at the end of this) There is all kinds of stuff that has gone on under his time as SA. the only reason they hang on is there is money to be made and if they didnt have that they wouldt get on anywhere else. a decade or more of this kind of stuff? how many more years are the citizens willing to let their kids schiool be near the bottom of a state that is near the bottom of every good list out there. It starts with a single choice and that comes around at election time. you get what you vote for that's why there are many kids home schooled and if i had to do it over again i would have home schooled mine.

why don't these two men give it a rest. They have a personal agenda against Mr. Amos and Pumpkin. They have tried every trick in the book to get them out and they are still there and will continue to be there. They are just making fools of themselves.

thats what I say.. they filed a lawsuit why?? his contract was VERIFIED by the state.. they are simply wasting school money that they have to use to pay lawyers for the ridiculous law suits..

I think everyone in this county knows that Amis and the entire board is a joke and embarrassment...but there is a feeling of hopelessness because nothing ever happens to them no matter what they do.

the fact is EVERYONE in the county (Except eddie campbell disciples ECD for short) think they are doing the best they can.. it's only the ECD's are thought of as fools and are ridiculed every time he makes another scene or files another baseless lawsuit..

Lol "delusional"! My opinion based on facts: ACT scandal and the fact that PCC one of the lowest scoring schools.....to only mention a couple of things. If this administration/board is doing the best they can.... Then that is really sad. Things need to change and I bet you couldn't find a handful of people to disagree with that.

Facts??? act scandal?? you blame that on the board?? when it was am imbecile teacher/admin AT the school..
PCC is one of the lowest, not because of the school, but because it has the crap students, the druggies, the pill babies (who lack the sense to walk around).. Teachers can only teach to students that WANT to learn...many at PCC so not want to so they lower the overall scores

there's an old saying, you can't teach a rock to do tricks... thats the equivalent of PCC currently... more rocks than interested students...
and FYI Hazard High, Letcher, Knott, Leslie, all dont' fair any better...

For anyone who cares to know, perry schools has had no board attorney since March of last year, unbeknownst to the board until lately. Maybe the new board attorney will want to defend the superintendent's contract. i don't know. But eddie campbell
and one other donor paid the lawyer that filed the suit. so, best just chill and let that have its way to the docket. as far as babbling fool, eddie's said a lot in the paper in recent years. i don't see any lawsuits against him. draw your own conclusions.
eddie spent 25 years in a classroom teaching. he's far from stupid about the affairs of perry county schools.
