Fire Works should be banned because of the dry conditions as well as the ecomony in the shape its in.
If not then sales tax should be collected by all selling a state, county, city business licenses should be paid too the state city and county on gross sales required with personial proberty tax
paid on inventory and equipment used for the business just like all other business have to do that make a profit or not.
The noise law should be inforced as to the loud racket, and a time limit place that not before 10 or after 7 oclock no fire works could be shot.

What fun is that too hear a few seconds of a loud noise and see a blast in the air of allot of money that would possibly feed a starving family, provide a sick baby a chance to live, or help clean up a polluted world.
For a few minutes of some ones so called pleasures,
so much more good could be done.
With the waste of a fire cracker blast,
then in a flash it is gone,
when the good would last on and on.

I completely agree with you! It is a terrible waste of money. They may as well just light the money and watch it burn. Does anyone know what the Chamber is paying for this display? It is usually a pretty big deal. The town of Chapel Hill is also doing one, glad I don't taxes there

Went to the pageant and fireworks and had a good time. It was worth the $5 a person to get in for the fireworks.

The girls all looked good.
One of the 5 finialist I was personally rooting for disappointed us afterwards in the parking lot for what we witnessed. Nothing criminal.
But not someone I would want to see represent Marshall County....(she is not.)

I would dare say
Fireworks are like a hang over!
What real good does either one do?

Feed the hungry
Heal the sick
Pay our Debt
Pay our bills

Receive so much more bigger thrills

Have a blast for one day
What does that really Say.

Just how stupid can we be
Look around at the hungry and the sick.

My guess the fireworks did the trick

What fun is it too sees the air filled with pollution, the peace and quite of the night disturbed with the sounds and blasts of fireworks foolishness wastes of public funds when
Any Children, the sick, or the old lay hungry are not feed even some with out a bed or even a loaf of bread.

What celebration can there be, When any person in the world is not free?

We claim to be the land of the free, yet we celebrate like the land of the rich, remember waste ways, bring woeful want,
In a Land of Plenty, a Land of debt, in a land of many, will not keep this, the land of plenty, where so many have so little, why waste so much, for so little.

One day and it will pass, yet the hunger it will last, yet the taxpayer will pay the bill for a few to have their thrill, fireworks on the hill you remember that on your tax bill
What a thrill, too hear, see, feel, all those shot fireworks
On our next tax bill.

Each and every time I hear a firecracker blast it reminds me of a hungry child.
When I see the big fireworks displays I multiply that one child, by a 1000 hungry, sick children.

For what in a moments waste
By mankind can be
Any pleasure
When compared to eternity.
The waste full ways of men today
They will reap and pay for tomorrow.

When children are taught the pleasures of men
They never compare to the power of God.
For a real fireworks display
You only have to look to the sky
To see the power of God
One day

Judgment day will appear
Pay Day
It will be here

Waste Ways bring Woefully Wants

Hungry, Starving Children, need food, clothing and a place to sleep, much more important things I see than any fireworks display can be.
What will we tell God when we face Eternity ?

Daily Horoscope for November 15

Leo

The Moon moves through Scorpio and your fourth house of home and family, urging you to tend to the home fires today. For better or worse, your home and the people in it are a big part of who you are. You may not be able to change your family, but you can change the way you respond and react to their actions. Make a pledge to be the best you can be, challenging the others to follow your good example.
