Do you know the telephone number for The Attic?

My boyfriend and I just recently ate at the Attic in their Clarkesville location. I believe it was the week or two before Halloween (it was on a Tuesday). There was this photography crew there taking pictures of customers (including us), and the guy in charge said the pictures would be in a brochure, magazine, or something. Does anyone have any idea where I could find that article?! thanks!! email me at slittle0120@lions.piedmont.edu

Me and a couple of my coworkers ate at the Attic July 20, 2007 for the first time and I have to say that the place was very unorganized, the people there were very rude, and the steak I had was horrible, along with all of my friends food also. When I recieved my food it looked horrible and when I took my first bite I thought I was going to throw up. We told the waitress we had that we were not satisfied with our meals and she had an excuse for everything! She got her manager to come over and he was carrying a raw steak on a plate and told us that he refused to remove it from our checks and that in 20 years he has never had a complaint. That was very hard for us to believe. After we finally got our checks we noticed we were charged wrong, we were all so upset that we just paid our checks and left. When we got outside we noticed that the manager was removing the items and giving the waitress more of OUR money. The place is completely horrible and I highly advide you to never go there! I would rather have ate McDonalds for dinner over that! Did I mention that the steak alone was $21.00! So not worth it!! I can't believe the place has stayed in business, with people like that it won't for long!

And I also had food poison the next day. I have never been so sick in my life!

I recently ate at The Attic, having high expectations that the food would be really great. And the food was not terrible, but I do think the atmosphere is the part that I really disliked the most. The menu had several "rules" in big bold print. Things like how they will not split a check 3 ways for a party of 4 and such, which to me is inappropriate for a fine dining restaurant. The menu says to expect an extraordinary wait on the food, which is not encouraging, as the place was empty when we were there, and it still took a long time. I doubt this place will last long, but to anyone out there who's thinking of trying it, I'd suggest spending your money elsewhere. If you're willing to drive, Glen Ella (still technically in Clarkesville) has wonderful food.

I eat at the Attic regularly. It has a great atmosphere and the wait staff is fabulous. I have never had a bad meal. Their prices are competitive and you receive plenty of food. Yes, the wait can be long but you can call ahead. I will continue to eat there.

I wouldn't believe this review even if the POpe himself wrote it. I have been going to the Attic for quite sometime now, and what is the most enjoyable thing is precisely the service, you can easily see there is camaradery and good attitude. You obviously had a bad experience, but you probably had a bad day starting from the morning. I don't find that someone who is willing to eat at McDonald's has the palate or discernment to judge a good place to eat. Nor do I find this person was at all polite and decent complaining about the food, with such manners who expects to have a good experience. Truly, a restaurant like the attic doesn't deserve costumers of such a low quality, so I am personally rather glad that this unhappy person will not go back to the place. The ambiance is light and refined in the attic, even though its prices are not at all high. So, if you are looking for a good place to eat and be satisfied, do go to the attic, you will not regret, unless of course, you are use to eat in fast food restaurants with little substance and lots of refined trash.

Of course you would get sick, you seem like and angry person I am surprised you don't get sick all the time. You cannot go to places and treat people the way you apparently did, you sound like a spoiled kid who didn't get her way, I bet you have frustating situations like this all the time, and will continue unless you change.

My family and I have eaten at the Attic numerous times and have always been very pleased with the food and the service at our table. One drawback a potential guest may want to consider is the wait time that is regularly rather lengthy, but obviously if we have frequented this restaurant more than once we have come to terms with that. Because we live local we will often check the wait time and if it is reasonable then we will jump out and get in line. We also try to arrive just before the lunch or supper crowd arrives. Prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is unique. It's one of my favorite places to eat in Clarkesville.

The place is terrible. I grew up in a restaurant and the attic is no restaurant. It's horrible.

The attic is great! The service was so chill...The atmosphere...bananaramma! Great wine selection. I was very surprised that they had a small petting zoo...was my steak from it? Regardless, the attic is the shit! Shout to my homeboyz P-money and L-diz

I don't know how in the world this restaurant would get a bad review. The food is amazing, the service is wonderful, and the prices are VERY cheap. Cassie, I highly doubt you had food poisoning the NEXT day. It would have hit you much sooner than that. Also, the Attic and its manager have not been in business for twenty years so I can assure you that is a completely false claim from yourself. This restaurant is wonderful, and while the wait is long, you can CALL AHEAD folks. Plain and simple.

I wonder if "Cassie" is a real person or just someone who had an ulterior motive. The food is not just great, it's memorable. The portions are outsize and the desserts fantastic. The service is rendered by real people who adhere to the establishment's faith-filled mission statement. The atmosphere was great. We drive a distance for a special afternoon out to eat there.

I think Cassie has a bit of a drinking problem. Her perception of The ATTIC was completely miscued. My husband and I have been eating at this establishment since it opened in a small little A- frame next to Piedmont College. It has always been beyond fabulous each and every time. The wait staff are incredible and the food is superb. I will say the food is a bit pricy but DEFINATELY worth every penny!! I would much rather spend my money here than go to "say Poor Richards" and pay the same amount for mediocre food". They use only first quality meats and have a variety of chicken and lamb dishes(GOD I LOVE THE LAMB). We love you guys. Cassie, honey just get some chicken wings at KFC..that will most likely make you happy. That and a what do they call it (A FORTY)

I'm amazed by the bad post on this great restaurant. I have worked and lived in Clarkesville for the past year and have never had a bad meal there. They take great pride in the quality of their meal and the service is fairly good also. The ONLY downside that could ever be claimed against the restaurant is that wait times can be very long(although as one commenter posted above..they do have call ahead service).
If you're in the Habersham County area, the Attic is a wonderful choice and I would highly recommend that you try it out for yourself. The attic has shifted ownership in the past few months but I haven't seen a change in the good quality/portions of food served and the service seems to be as good or better. My guess is that Cassie was dissapointed by the lack of a "99 cent value meal and big mac" on the menu. Her review implies that she has a lot of class...unfortunately, it's all "low". |
